  • Great Location, house!

"We enjoyed 5 nights at the Sunset Beach House. This house was perfect for us and our family (traveled with 3 kids - ages 6,4,2). It's a block away from access to Sunset Beach, and was a nice, quiet neighborhood. The kids loved the play structure, and all the sand toys to take to the beach. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off upon returning from the beach. Many great attractions were within 5-15 minutes (Sharks Cove, Turtle Bay, the Pipeline, Haleiwa town). The weather worked out for us and we stayed cool enough with the fans on and the winds at night. We ate many meals out on the patio. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you needed to cook a meal, there were plenty of towels, and having a washer and dryer was great. The kids loved the "kids" room with bunk beds, toys/books, and a little tv/dvd player with some kid friendly movies/shows. We loved the location and would consider staying there again in the future. Mahalo!"

  • Absolutely Beautiful!

"The Palms is in a beautiful location with an amazing view of the ocean and a few steps to the beach. The main house is well-appointed and comfortably sleeps 3 couples. Each couple had a lovely bedroom and its own bathroom. The seating area in the living room allowed all of to fully relax together. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Definitely a 5-star experience. There's a friendly bird that greeted us several times each day and was happy to eat right out of our hands. The huge lanai was perfect for entertaining and the large umbrella kept all of us dry during the rainy times. I highly recommend The Palms. We've already booked it for next October!!"

  • OUTSTANDING PLACE TO STAY

"My friend and I came out to the North Shore for a Surf Trip and it was one of the best trips of my life. This place was very warm and accommodating and the family who rented it out to us were fantastic! The place was very clean and comfortable. They have a hot skillet so you could cook anything from eggs to grilled chicken. They know the area very well and recommended places to eat or visit. The location is perfect! It is just 5 minutes from pipeline and very close to other prime surfing spots. They have a hot tub on the roof that you can use and the scenery is very beautiful... Can't wait to go again!"

  • Great beach stay

"Upon entering the house we were really impressed - it was super clean and tidy, private and secure, and had a great spot along a truly stunning beach. It was only moments to Pipeline and Ted's Bakery in one direction, and food trucks, Foodland and Haleiwa Town in the other. (Haleiwa being a 10-15 min drive - Banzai Sushi Bar a must!) The beds were comfy and linen and towels and beach chairs clearly updated since a previous review. Kitchen was really well equipped and the BBQ got a good workout during our stay. We had an issue with the TV at one point which was quickly responded to with a personal visit - the entertainment system does seem over complicated though. Another bike or two would have been good to cater for our party of five - additional bikes can be hired just down the road though. We enjoyed many sunset drinks on the massive balcony. It's a pity you can't see the break from the outdoor lounge though, we became quite envious of the surrounding houses elevated balconies. Can't complain too much though - it wasn't hard to take a chair down onto the beach! All in all we had a great and relaxing stay and saw some massive surf (too dangerous for swimming but spectacular to watch). It was pricey but properties at Christmas were hard to come by - particularly right on the beach. I loved the North Shore and I'll be back."
