  • Great North Shore Home

"We chose this home for several reasons and we are soooo happy that we did! The location of the house is steps from the sandy beach and the bike path is just around the corner. The home is casual and relaxed and comfortable. The owner had foam surfboards and bicycles on site for our use. One day a bike chain was acting up and the owner replaced the bike with another bike that day (within an hour). The house was very comfortable for the 5 of us (2 parents and 3 teens) and had everything we would need for days at the beach and cooking in the home. You can rent a large variety of surfboards if needed, close by as well. A great bakery/deli called Ted's is close by too and has delicious food and we recommend getting a few meals there too (Yes meals!!.Ted's has more than great Chocolate Coconut Cream pies!!) The home owner was very informative and responsive to us and transactions were smooth. We weren't sure about 'staying way out on the North Shore' but visiting Waikiki or Kailua areas were each an easy drive of about 45minutes. Haleiwa is such a fun town close by with great beaches, shops, and restaurants. The property had plenty of parking and the property was enclosed with fencing for privacy. We felt very safe in this quiet neighborhood. The outdoor shower was handy after a day at Waimea Bay swimming and jumping off the big rock (a must do)!! or, snorkeling at Shark's Cove!! Overall we would love to stay here again"

  • Could Not Be Any Better

"We stayed at Mark and Judy's place the end of September and we feel like we have friends on the north shore now!! They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and were so helpful and kind. The bungalow had everything we were looking for. Our list for a place to stay included: affordable, clean, kitchen, secure parking, and close to the beach. They had all of that plus all the extras. We loved riding the bikes on the bike path and taking the snorkel gear to nearby Sharks Cove, Three Tables and Waimea Bay. They have boogie boards, beach chairs, cooler, books to read, beach towels, an umbrella, etc. . . . they have thought of everything! Its a beautiful area. Their yard is beautiful with all the different plants and flowers. Its all very well maintained. You can see the ocean from the front window and hear the surf. Its about a 3 minute walk to the beach and we loved watching the beautiful sunsets there. We would ride the bikes to Teds and grab dinner and loved trying the food trucks all along there. We also ate in a couple of times and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware to use. We really appreciated the parking- its literally right outside the door and you can see your car from the front window. We always felt safe coming back late at night. They also had shampoo, body wash, soap, bug spray included. They seriously had thought of everything. I feel like the pictures accurately show what the place looks like, but I felt like when we got there it was even better than we expected. The pictures don't show the tiled shower with a glass door and flat screen tv. It was super clean and plenty of space for the two of us. It just felt very comfortable and cozy. Mark and Judy were so helpful in answering questions on things to do or see. It was fun to have a local's perspective on activities- like fun hikes, snorkeling, places to boogie board, etc. They were available for help, but weren't overbearing at all and gave us our space. We have already recommended this place to a few friends! We loved it and felt like it was perfect for us and made our trip so fun. We felt like Mark and Judy were all about full disclosure with nothing to hide. We really appreciated their honesty. If you haven't booked a place yet and are considering this bungalow, book it now!! We cannot say enough good things about it."

  • Location, location, location

"Just returned home from a 10 day stay at this house, and we're already planning out our next vacation back. The house was perfect for my family of 5-- me and my husband and our 8, 6 and 2 year old kids. We visit Oahu every year, but have always stayed at a 4-star hotel in Waikiki. After dealing with the horrible traffic, crowds and ridiculous fees at the hotels, I decided last year that from then on we would rent a house away from Honolulu. This was our first time renting a house, and hands down this is our best vacation yet! The house was quiet, clean, protected by gates that locked, had every amenity that we needed...and the beautiful beach was just a few steps away. Every morning we would quickly eat breakfast and then walk back out to the beach and relax there until lunch. Although shark's cove, waimea and ehukai/sunset beaches were all within walking distance, we felt that the beach out back was better for our family...less crowded (never more than 50-60 people on Ke Iki!) and if we forgot something at the house one of us could just quickly run back to get it. We BBQ'd on the lanai, and relaxed out there when the house got too warm inside (only AC in the bedrooms). Full cable and large flat screen TV was available, as was a washer and dryer. Cathy, the property manager, was a pleasure to work with. Everything that I needed was taken care of right away. I can't explain how much we enjoyed our stay--we will definitely be back!"

  • Wow! Beauty filled with Peace

"From the moment we arrived there was a sense of comfort, then we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the beach. Glenn was prepared and made it very easy to walk in and start enjoying. The beach House is nestled back off the road (no noise) amidst other homes. You rarely know those other homes are even there. With a large rock wall on one side and tall dense shrubs on the other, plus a large solid entry gate, you have a very secure and private environment. Loved It! The yard that faces Sunset beach is just as private, but offers a picture window with palm trees on the sides and waves breaking right in front of you. Paved deck, picnic table, green grass, lounge chairs and you are in Paradise. The yard is blessed to offer some appreciated shade for afternoon resting after a long day on the beach and in the sun. If you love seeing stars and the Milky Way, don't forget to come out at night and look up, stunning is all I can say. We Loved our stay and were saddened to leave. Mahalo Glenn Preston and Sherry"
