  • Wonderful!

"Our family of four stayed here over New Years', and really enjoyed it! Our son slept on their aerobed, and it did displace the living room furniture, but we didn't really care. It wouldn't be that big a deal to move it out of the way during the day…but we were always out during the day, so it wasn't much of an issue. It's true, there aren't closets, but that's not such an issue either--they have luggage racks, and the bathroom closet works fine. It's a lovely place, in a convenient location. And it's fantastic to climb on the bikes and ride to Pipeline, or any other beach! Or stroll down the street to Sunset Beach. I highly recommend this place, unless you're a nitpicky person. (The bikes could use some maintenance.)"

  • Great North Shore Home

"We chose this home for several reasons and we are soooo happy that we did! The location of the house is steps from the sandy beach and the bike path is just around the corner. The home is casual and relaxed and comfortable. The owner had foam surfboards and bicycles on site for our use. One day a bike chain was acting up and the owner replaced the bike with another bike that day (within an hour). The house was very comfortable for the 5 of us (2 parents and 3 teens) and had everything we would need for days at the beach and cooking in the home. You can rent a large variety of surfboards if needed, close by as well. A great bakery/deli called Ted's is close by too and has delicious food and we recommend getting a few meals there too (Yes meals!!.Ted's has more than great Chocolate Coconut Cream pies!!) The home owner was very informative and responsive to us and transactions were smooth. We weren't sure about 'staying way out on the North Shore' but visiting Waikiki or Kailua areas were each an easy drive of about 45minutes. Haleiwa is such a fun town close by with great beaches, shops, and restaurants. The property had plenty of parking and the property was enclosed with fencing for privacy. We felt very safe in this quiet neighborhood. The outdoor shower was handy after a day at Waimea Bay swimming and jumping off the big rock (a must do)!! or, snorkeling at Shark's Cove!! Overall we would love to stay here again"

  • Absolutely Beautiful!

"The Palms is in a beautiful location with an amazing view of the ocean and a few steps to the beach. The main house is well-appointed and comfortably sleeps 3 couples. Each couple had a lovely bedroom and its own bathroom. The seating area in the living room allowed all of to fully relax together. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Definitely a 5-star experience. There's a friendly bird that greeted us several times each day and was happy to eat right out of our hands. The huge lanai was perfect for entertaining and the large umbrella kept all of us dry during the rainy times. I highly recommend The Palms. We've already booked it for next October!!"

  • Big, beautiful house just steps from the beach

"Just finished a girls week in Hawaii. We loved this house. Plenty of room for all 10 of us. Stocked with snorkel gear, beach towels and mats, and everything we could have needed in the kitchen. We loved that the beach was so close, and just a short walk down it there were really good body boarding waves and a little less coral, plus a small bathtub beach area for the baby. We saw a Hawaiian monk seal sunning himself right out on our beach one afternoon. The outdoor shower with the option for hot water was such a luxury. It gets a bit hot, but there are many fans, which made it more tolerable. Theres a Foodland and coffee shop 2 miles down the road across from sharks cove (a great place to snorkel) and a Thai food truck close by too. Parking was a bit tight for our minivan, but that seemed to be the case most places we tried to park the beast. With the threat of a hurricane and possible flight cancelation, we were offered to extend our stay, which gave us peace of mind. All in all I would totally stay here again."
