Da Best of the North Shore
"We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home during my families recent spring break. As described by other reviewers the home had everything you need/want when vacationing at the beach. Carina and Chuck were just amazingly wonderful people and made my family feel so welcome during the stay. We didn't feel like tourists but like local Haleiwa residents as we strolled along the main highway and just lounged at Ke Iki beach watching the big swells hit the shore. We even saw Clark Little who is famous for his shorebreak pictures do his thing at Ke Iki beach. If you need anything Carina and Chuck are right there so you need not worry about where to eat or go around the north shore. We loved it so much we tried to stay an extra night (loll) but the house was already booked up. My kids loved the Ginger the house cat who ate poke with us every night on the steps of the house. We look forward to staying here again in the winter. 200% RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE"

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very happy with the location.
The vacation rental was very clean.
The property manager was adequately helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
We have visited the north shore, renting properties many times. This little hale is a great spot! It's right on the Kam but the wall keeps the road noise down, and the grassy lawn leading right to the steps to the beach is amazing! The home itself is old and the furniture is dated but the view is fabulous and you'll spend all your time on the lanai anyway. The property is well maintained and the home is clean. The kitchen is stocked with a good number of dry goods (left behind by other visitors) and utensils/small appliances. Stop by the house before you go to the store so you don't waste money on things you don't need to buy.
This is a great North Shore location, near Sunset beach and Keiki Beach and about 15 minutes to Haleiwa. Food Land is about a 10 minute drive. Sharks Cove has great snorkeling.
It would be nice if the property management company would put a lock box on the house so you could go straight to the house. We had a very hectic couple of weeks leading up to this trip and I made the mistake of not having the instructions for the key pick up with me when we landed, so I had to call the office from the car rental parking lot. It was a fairly simple problem, they email instructions and I didn't get the email. Instead of kindly just sending the email again, I had a 13 minute phone conversation with 2 different agents at the office questioning me about why I didn't get the email. I seriously started to wonder if I was going to have to find another place to stay, but she finally sent the email and we had no issues from that point on. It was a frustrating start to a vacation we worked very hard to have!
We would love to stay here again. This time I know how their key pick up and drop off works so I would be prepared."

"This home has it all! Our family of 5 adults rented for 10 days beginning on Christmas Day. The location is perfect - a short 3 minute walk to Ted's Bakery, bike trail, and private beach. Home was very clean and spacious. Very nicely appointed kitchen. A wonderful complement to the home and location were the outdoor "accessories" that made our stay so relaxing and fun - 4 bicycles, boogy boards, snorkel equipment, outdoor grill, outdoor shower, etc. No air-conditioning but there are ceiling fans in every room and the upstairs location provided ample cross breezes for comfortable living. The owners live on the premise and are very nice and accessible should one need anything at all. We will definitely stay here again."

"My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights at Ben's studio. As did many previous renters, we enjoyed all of the North Shore attractions: swimming at Sunset Beach (the surf was low), snorkeling at Shark's Cove, turtle-watching, biking the paths, eating (a lot) at Ted's and all the other food trucks, and more. The studio is in a great location. It had everything we needed, and the little yard and fenced driveway offers privacy. The snorkels and masks, beach towels, and bikes proved to be very handy. We ate most of our meals on the small lanai and the TV was great for watching a couple of movies. We had a very nice time here. Mahalo!"
