  • Cozy cottage north shore

"My husband and I chose the cozy cottage for our stay in Oahu because it seemed like a perfect little get away place for us! It was more than we expected! The kitchen had all the appliances to make yourself the perfect meal. We loved waking up to the sound of birds and falling asleep to the breeze that fell through our windows. The place was cozy and clean! We highly recommend staying here. We felt like we were coming home after each adventure the day would bring :)"

  • A relaxing enclave among the excitement that is Oahu!

"I'll get right to the point: this house is fantastic on so many levels in creating a dream vacation. After only 15 minutes of being in the home, our group brought up the idea of a return visit. Sometimes folks will criticize Oahu because it's too busy/not enough like "paradise." Well, while it's no secret Honolulu/Waikiki are urban, this perceived downfall is the island's greatest strength. With 1,000,000+ people on the island, there are far more dining options and cultural activities. Once you get out of Waikiki/Honolulu, you'll discover very special places around the island...one of them being this spectacular home. Why you should rent this house: 1) No need to wake up at 6am to reserve your pool chairs. 2) Enjoy cooking and farmer's markets? There's a chef's kitchen waiting for you. And two dining tables with unobstructed ocean views. Bon appetit! 3) Sleep with the windows open. Hopefully you can deal with the "noise" of waves crashing. 4) If you're a fan of snorkeling, Shark's Cove is 15 minutes away, and it's the best snorkeling on the island (much better than Hanauma Bay). 5) On Waikiki Beach, you need to fight for real estate. The beach in front of this house is expansive and vacant. It also goes for miles in either direction for long walks. 6) Your own pool. (So for those who don't want to listen to kids screaming and jumping, or adults screaming and jumping for that matter, it's totally serene; and for those who have kids, well you can let them be kids!) 7) Need a little urban excitement? Honolulu/Waikiki is a 30-45 minute car ride, depending on traffic. Once you've had enough, retreat to your private pool! If you're choosing between this house and a hotel, be sure figure out the true cost of a hotel. Many charge a resort fee (for useless things like local phone calls or a lei greeting), parking fee, and then tax. This house cost our group of 5 about the same as a Waikiki hotel (and that's just a room, not a suite), and we received "priceless" amenities like our own pool, beach, and the ability to save on expensive poolside service! Some specifics about the house: the beds are comfortable, linens/towels are high quality, the home is in excellent condition, wifi is fast, and it feels very Hawaiian inside. There's a reef off the beach, so it's not very sandy for swimming. But there's a pool! Lastly, the owner, Pat, displays the warmest "kokua" and wants her guests to enjoy her home. She felt much more like a friend than a landlord."

  • We'll be back!

"I stayed here with my wife and 18 month old for 10 days. This was my second time in Hawaii the first being at resort in Maui. This condo was definately the way to go. It was more comfortable than our own home. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach never crowded. Even on weekends. You just can't beat the ocean view. Some places offer an "ocean view" which typically ends up meaning that if you crane your head at the right angle you can see a sliver of ocean. Not here, one whole side of the condo is nothing but water! We counted 14 turtles on the beach one morning. I had to dodge turtles to get out into the water and snorkel. The condo is awesome and the location is perfect if you are looking for someplace relaxing to spend your time in Hawaii. We'll definately be coming back."

  • Best place to spend our 25th anniversary

"We stayed in this beach house for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. It was so relaxing. Our days were spent adventuring around the island but evenings were spent playing in the water and walking the beach. We grilled fresh fish for dinner several nights while enjoying some of the most beautiful sunsets right from the lanai. This was a perfect get away to celebrate our anniversary. The property is very well kept, studio is comfortable, and we felt right at home. We used the hotplate every morning to cook our breakfast and enjoyed eating while taking in the ocean. Jeanne was so helpful and gave us some really good tips on where to eat locally and what to go and see. We will return some day!"
