  • Beautiful Mountain View from lanai

"Lovely apartment. Trade winds came in upstairs every day. So enjoyable. The beach was less than a block away and not busy. Fun watching the sea turtles so close to shore. The neighborhood was nice and friendly. So convenient to Haleiwa town. Loved the elevator key for getting heavy luggage up and down. The apartment had everything we needed except we had to go out and buy more toilet paper and paper towels. We were much appreciative of the additional fans that were in the bedrooms. They helped with the street noise and air circulation. The bathroom could use an exhaust fan. It got very hot in there during shower time. We are happy with our North Shore visit. We chose the North Short because my friend lives so close and I'm glad we did."

  • Beautiful and Secluded

"This was a beautiful duplex style cottage in a remote area of North Shore. We saw turtles outside our window in the ocean about 4 of our 7 days there. We arrived to find the front door did not close. We had our 2 children, ages 7&9, and were not comfortable staying in a place where we couldn't shut the door, let alone lock it. First, we were told that it might not be fixed until the following day as they couldn't reach the handiman. After emailing the owner, she had someone go out to temporarily install a lock that day. We were able to lock it from the inside only, so we didn't use the front door much. Other than that hiccup, everything was great. We had high waves much of the time we were there so we didn't see much of a shoreline to walk on. The cottage is away from everything, nearest store is about 20 minutes. Beautiful countryside. We drove into Honolulu a couple of times, about 40-75min away depending on traffic. Getting back to the cottage on a Friday afternoon at 4 was ridiculous, over 2 hours. It has nothing to do with the cottage, but just be prepared. We had a great time and the views and sunsets were unreal. Mahalo!"

  • Beautiful home on the beach

"Beautiful home right on the beach - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We saw turtles offshore near the concrete pipe everyday. You can swim close to the house, though the water wasn't clear enough to snorkel while we were there. We drove to Shark's Cove and snorkeled there -what a great experience - get there early or you won't find parking! Fun, casual restaurants in Haleiwa - we loved Kua Aina, Ted's Bakery, Breakers and Haleiwa Joe's. Had a great time with the guys at North Shore Shark Adventures - got to see some sharks. It was windy and the water got really rough later on, so I recommend the early tours."
