"We had a great time on the North Shore because the location of the house was in a great spot. Every thing in the house was as expected; clean and tidy on our arrival. The extra stuff: beach chairs, snorkel gear, "floaties", bikes and laundry room made our stay even better. Shark's Cove is a great snorkel spot ...turtles and eels....."

Very quiet property in great location on the North Shore.
"We really enjoyed our stay at Plumeria House. Comfortable for 6 adults and one toddler. Although we were only such a large party for 2 nights. First night we arrived there was no hot water. Luckily we were too tired to be very inconvenienced and, after a few texts to the owner, a maintenance man arrived the next morning and installed a new water heater. Still had a few troubles with there being no hot water but they did fix the issue as soon as they were able so while it was a little irritating to be without hot water after a long day at the beach we realized stuff happens and we have absolutely no complaints with how they handled the mattered. They are fully stocked on gear: chairs, bikes, toys etc. And a quick note for parents. I have a very tall toddler ( not yet 2yrs but over 3"). The pack n' play they offer is big, 3"x 3". So large, I didn't recognize it for what it was and called the 'emergency' number in a panic, big enough for my kid to stretch out diagonally so there was no need to rent a full size crib from an outside company. That was a definite bonus! Would definitely stay here again."

"The place was SO clean when we got there, and was very welcoming. Food was nearby with the Foodland, and the best plate lunch we've ever had less than a block away at the food truck. Beaches were right across the street, and great! You can watch sunset over the ocean by just walking across the street!
Thanks Michelle and David"

"After our long plane ride from the east coast and getting caught in Honolulu rush hour traffic, needless to say, we were weary travelers. We opened the door to the Hibiscus house and an immediate sense of relaxation washed over us. We knew right away this was going to be an amazing stay! The description is spot on. Open, airy and clean with stunning views. Almost every morning we were greeted with a rainbow, (even a double rainbow), and every evening we had amazing sunsets with whales breaching too! The kitchen is fully equipped and the appliances are all in excellent working order (except the toaster), we just needed to stock it up with food. Foodland is a 5 minute bike ride away. Every morning we took a beach walk then came back, ate breakfast on the deck then gathered up the provided beach chairs and towels and headed to the beach again. They have outdoor showers with hot water to wash off the beach sand before going back in the house. Like other reviewers said, the living room furniture is a little uncomfortable but we rarely sat on it because we were always on the deck. The beds are comfortable though. There is also a washer and dryer which is a huge plus because I packed fairly light. Bath towels are provided as well.
We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a luau and the fire show, "HA, Breath of Life". I'd give that 5 stars too. We also had a tour of Waimea Park which was amazing with exotic trees, flowers and waterfalls. I recommend taking the guided tour because the guides are extremely knowledgeable. In that same park on Thursdays is a Farmer's market which feature locally grown produce, crafts, fresh breads and prepared food. If you like a good workout, look up D.Bach Functional Fitness.
The Hibiscus house was a perfect fit for our group and we are planning on returning. Honolulu/Waikiki is 45 minutes away. Meh, it looks like any bustling beach city. It reminded be of South Beach. It was fun for one night but for the rest of our stay the North Shore of Oahu was the way to go. It is super laid back and peaceful.
Mahalo Hawai'i and Hibiscus house owners!!!"
