"I was extremely happy and comfortable staying in this flat and thought the location was perfect between the snorkelling cove right out the front and three sensational beaches (including Waimea Bay which is under about 1/2 mile away). Very conveniently located a block from Foodland supermarket. I went for evening cycles on the bikes provided to the end of Sunset Beach and back. Also there was a blender in the flat which was great for my morning smoothies. You feel extra safe with the caretaker around. Bed is comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed myself on the North Shore."

"This is our 3rd trip to North Shore and this wonderful apartment! Spacious, super clean, so convenient in a quiet neighborhood, with outstanding hosts. This is the perfect spot if you want to be comfortable, near the beach and grocery store, and close to food trucks. There are 3 of us and with the 2 spacious bedrooms, everyone had their "own space'. All the linens are of high quality and we always had plenty of towels for the home and for the beach. Lots of choices of beach equipment too. We continue to come back for the welcome from the owners and their wonderful dog!"

"Had a wonderful stay at Shark's Cove Retreat on the North Shore of Oahu.
Well equipt kitchen and wonderful deck with grill. Great location for exploring the area...grocery store and restaurants nearby. Downside...noisy traffic and roosters crow very early in the am."

"After our long plane ride from the east coast and getting caught in Honolulu rush hour traffic, needless to say, we were weary travelers. We opened the door to the Hibiscus house and an immediate sense of relaxation washed over us. We knew right away this was going to be an amazing stay! The description is spot on. Open, airy and clean with stunning views. Almost every morning we were greeted with a rainbow, (even a double rainbow), and every evening we had amazing sunsets with whales breaching too! The kitchen is fully equipped and the appliances are all in excellent working order (except the toaster), we just needed to stock it up with food. Foodland is a 5 minute bike ride away. Every morning we took a beach walk then came back, ate breakfast on the deck then gathered up the provided beach chairs and towels and headed to the beach again. They have outdoor showers with hot water to wash off the beach sand before going back in the house. Like other reviewers said, the living room furniture is a little uncomfortable but we rarely sat on it because we were always on the deck. The beds are comfortable though. There is also a washer and dryer which is a huge plus because I packed fairly light. Bath towels are provided as well.
We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a luau and the fire show, "HA, Breath of Life". I'd give that 5 stars too. We also had a tour of Waimea Park which was amazing with exotic trees, flowers and waterfalls. I recommend taking the guided tour because the guides are extremely knowledgeable. In that same park on Thursdays is a Farmer's market which feature locally grown produce, crafts, fresh breads and prepared food. If you like a good workout, look up D.Bach Functional Fitness.
The Hibiscus house was a perfect fit for our group and we are planning on returning. Honolulu/Waikiki is 45 minutes away. Meh, it looks like any bustling beach city. It reminded be of South Beach. It was fun for one night but for the rest of our stay the North Shore of Oahu was the way to go. It is super laid back and peaceful.
Mahalo Hawai'i and Hibiscus house owners!!!"
