"Booked this condo from May 30th thru June 10th (5 people) I was not disappointed. The location was perfect as it was close to the heart of Waikiki (within a 15 min walk) and just a mere 5 minutes’ walk to Ala Moana shopping and beach. So convenient! Just near the condo are numerous places to eat and an ABC store at the corner. The condo itself is situated so that you have a front view of the ocean and harbor and the back view of the canal and the surrounding hills. Although the unit has air conditioning, when the front and back windows/sliding doors are open there is an island breeze that cools everything down. It is a great light and airy space. Sitting out on the front balcony eating your breakfast or sipping an evening glass of wine, you will see beautiful views and sunsets. The unit itself is very nicely equipped with just about everything you could need. Used the kitchen to prepare a few breakfasts and dinners. The building itself is an older building, but the condo is clean and well organized. If you’re ready to go to the beach there are beach towels and chairs available to use. This condo fulfilled my expectations. I would recommend it to family and friends and would use it again. Just being in Hawaii was so much fun. Having a clean, updated, organized condo with such great views and perfect location just enhanced the experience."

  • Just right

"We enjoyed two weeks in this condo -- it was clean and quiet, with easy parking and access to laundry. One of us slept on the sofa bed, which was reasonably comfortable. The unit had everything we needed -- and was setup nicely when we arrived with starter supplies. The condo is near the zoo (with relatively easy access to H1) and is one block to the beach, with The Bus stop right across the street (including the 13 to UH). I would highly recommend this condo for a 'home base' in Honolulu. The view was fantastic!"

  • Great place!! Best location.

"We have stayed in this condo 3 times. The owner, Mike, has been extremely helpful and accommodating. ( even last minute requests!). The condo is small, but clean and comfortable. We were there in either February or March and because of the Trade Winds and ocean breezes, we never once used the air conditioning. this place is in the best location you can find .. Away from the hustle of Waikiki, but close enough to walk (along the beach) to it. Parking is free all the time, on the street. We love it!! Carol and Randy."

  • Very helpful staff and convenient location

"My mother and I went to Honolulu recently and Syndi was very helpful. My mom is quite elderly so she needs to rest after a long flight so Syndi arranged it so we could check-in early. Before our visit I emailed her with a lot of questions and she responded quickly and with helpful information. We arrived on a Friday so we were able to enjoy from the balcony the firework show that the Hilton puts on every week. The unit was very clean and it was as the photos presented. And the location was convenient. The Ilikai is close to Ala Moana shopping center and Waikiki without having to deal with all of the noise of Waikiki. There's an Enterprise car rental across the street, but the daily valet price of $20 a day is a little pricey, but I live in a city where parking is even more expensive so it didn't bother me too much. I would definitely consider staying here again."

South Oahu Travel Tips

South Oahu Condos for Warm Hawaiian Alohas

South Oahu in Hawaii is home to the Islands’ most famous place, Honolulu. In days gone by, visitors to the islands were welcomed in true Hawaiian style by the Aloha Tower. Today, the tower remains as a reminder of the warm welcome that awaits independent travelers coming to Oahu vacation rentals. Arriving in your Oahu lodging choice, you will see why Hawaiians are famous for their greeting of “Aloha, Welcome to Hawaii!” These South Oahu condos are available direct from Hawaii’s friendly residents.

South Oahu Condos Help You Make the Most of Your Vacation

Surrounding South Oahu condos are some of the world’s most famous beaches. The area is also home to Queen Kapiolani Park, a state historic site with Banyan Trees over 100 years old. The park also hosts the Waikiki Aquarium and Honolulu Zoo. From your Oahu lodging choice, near the Ala Wai Canal, you can sit and watch the kayakers or get in the water and join them. Oahu vacation rentals are ideal bases to truly see Hawaii.

Oahu Vacation Rentals for Famous Landmarks

Choose from South Oahu rentals in Kahala and you will be living on some of the most expensive land in the United States. So many famous landmarks surround Oahu vacation rentals, you may find it difficult to decide what to see or do first. Visit Diamond Head’s famous volcano and either hike to the summit or drive into the crater itself. Your Oahu lodging choice will provide you with delightful experiences day after day.

Your Oahu Lodging Choice Is Steps away from Dinosaur Fun

From South Oahu rentals, step back in time with a visit to Foster Botanical Garden, near the Iolani Palace. This garden, close to your Oahu lodging choice, is home to some of the oldest plants on earth which date back to a time when dinosaurs walked the world. Uniquely, Hawaii is also the only part of the United States that is actually expanding; due to the volcanic activity, new land is constantly being formed. Oahu vacation rentals are quite unique too.
