  • Wonderful place to stay

"We stayed at Island Colony Unit 3601 in August. We were excited about the location. We walked to the beach, the zoo, aquarium and many shopping areas. The unit even exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well equipped with all the cooking ware we needed so we saved plenty dining in. The atmosphere was friendly. We had access to the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, bbq grills. There was snorkeling equipment and more than enough beach towels. The owner made sure we were comfortable and all our questions were answered. I recommend staying at this property."

  • Perfect location, would love to stay here again!

"My wife and I (age 29 & 30) were looking for a vacation condo close to the beach, in Waikiki, but away from noise. This location faces the beach (can't see it - no biggie) and the center of the block it resides on (quiet) and is a very short 3 blocks from the beach. Phenomenal value for his listing! On the way to the beach there is a reasonable rental company (bicycles, motorcycles, cars and convertibles) as well as an ABC store that has all of your conveniences. The Hyatt Regency is the last block before the beach and there is some nice shopping in there - so even within the short 3 blocks, all of your basic needs are met. We did 3 "beach days", and every time we brought less and less with us because it really wasn't a hassle to get anything back at the condo. Location, location, location! The condo has 2 lanais which was nice at night because you could ventilate the place fairly quickly, and in the morning you had your choice as to where you could drink a cup of Kona coffee. We had a few nights when we just threw on the A/C and overhead fan. All of the appliances were in great working order and we loved the tiled shower. The king sized bed was an added plus - not too many vaca condos can brag about a king sized bed within the price range we were looking at. I'd guess the bed was about a medium firmness. We slept quite well (I'm a bigger guy and my wife is quite small). A few critiques we would have (although none of them took anything away from our vacation) would be the inefficient storage system for all the cleaning supplies. The bathroom vanity, half the kitchen cupboards, and drawer of a dresser had a large amount of cleaning materials in them. If I made a suggestion, I think the cleaning supplies in the kitchen cupboards and the one drawer could be put in a couple of totes and placed on the top shelf in the closet (there's an adequate amount of towels in there - maybe cut those back to make room for cleaning totes). The reason for this suggestion is that we bought food for breakfast and some lunches and only had 1 cupboard to put it in as well as using the dinner table/counter. Freeing up a couple of drawers and cupboards would be helpful. Another critique that wouldn't be a necessity would be to sell the mismatched dishes/glasses and buy one uniform set. We had a wonderful stay and would like to say "thank you" to David once again for all the questions you answered for us and we will be renting from you again!"

  • Wonderful Experience !

"We had a wonderful time staying at this home. Our family of nine (grandparents, two couples and three children ages 3-8) stayed there for two weeks and we couldn’t expect anything better The kitchen/living/dining area was a great place for us all to gather. Appliances are relatively new. Everything was clean and in working order. The owner is very responsive and the neighborhood is very safe and especially is really close to Waikiki, so we were just walking to the beach every day . There are lots of attractions and services nearby . This house worked out very good for our family we had everything we need while we were at the house. Thanks for your detailed guest welcome goodies! We are planning on coming back soon, thank you again Marylu!"

  • fabulous place

"We are three couples in our forties and fifties. We decided to rent a house rather than stay in a hotel. This place was perfect for us. Each bedroom had an ensuite and the house, garden, spa and pool were fabulous. We were greeted by Tommy who was lovely. Any issues, we were able to contact him. You'd be wise to hire a car although not necessary as bus lines are close. We stayed for a week and would recommend this to other small groups."

South Oahu Travel Tips

South Oahu Condos for Warm Hawaiian Alohas

South Oahu in Hawaii is home to the Islands’ most famous place, Honolulu. In days gone by, visitors to the islands were welcomed in true Hawaiian style by the Aloha Tower. Today, the tower remains as a reminder of the warm welcome that awaits independent travelers coming to Oahu vacation rentals. Arriving in your Oahu lodging choice, you will see why Hawaiians are famous for their greeting of “Aloha, Welcome to Hawaii!” These South Oahu condos are available direct from Hawaii’s friendly residents.

South Oahu Condos Help You Make the Most of Your Vacation

Surrounding South Oahu condos are some of the world’s most famous beaches. The area is also home to Queen Kapiolani Park, a state historic site with Banyan Trees over 100 years old. The park also hosts the Waikiki Aquarium and Honolulu Zoo. From your Oahu lodging choice, near the Ala Wai Canal, you can sit and watch the kayakers or get in the water and join them. Oahu vacation rentals are ideal bases to truly see Hawaii.

Oahu Vacation Rentals for Famous Landmarks

Choose from South Oahu rentals in Kahala and you will be living on some of the most expensive land in the United States. So many famous landmarks surround Oahu vacation rentals, you may find it difficult to decide what to see or do first. Visit Diamond Head’s famous volcano and either hike to the summit or drive into the crater itself. Your Oahu lodging choice will provide you with delightful experiences day after day.

Your Oahu Lodging Choice Is Steps away from Dinosaur Fun

From South Oahu rentals, step back in time with a visit to Foster Botanical Garden, near the Iolani Palace. This garden, close to your Oahu lodging choice, is home to some of the oldest plants on earth which date back to a time when dinosaurs walked the world. Uniquely, Hawaii is also the only part of the United States that is actually expanding; due to the volcanic activity, new land is constantly being formed. Oahu vacation rentals are quite unique too.
