  • I would stay here again

"This is a 1970's type house in good condition with just a few minor problems. One of the window air conditioners didn't work and with a simple phone call it was replaced that day. We liked the gated parking and shopping is close including a COSTCO. We were ready to book another week in July for another baseball tournament but the dates were taken."

  • All that we had hoped for in a family reunion vacation

"This is our first experience in renting from VRBO and being from Canada, we were very nervous about the accuracy of the photos, contract, etc. But we were attending a family wedding and with 3 families, we fit very nicely into this property (and guest house) with 13 people. The pictures are completely accurate and the backyard is incredible with the ocean view and exposure. The owner's family was very good to deal with and extremely patient with my nervousness around payment, etc. So thanks to them for working with us. We met the house caretaker when we arrived, got great information about the house and the vacation began immediately. The house supplies was very good. The house location besides the beachfront is incredible in that "Costco" is about 3 blocks away. We immediately went there to load up food and the location was great in that it was easy to get to Waikiki and to the east part of the island. Another great thing we did was to rent paddle boards for the duration of our trip. We found a store that delivered the rental and we spent much of the time paddle boarding as the ocean was generally very calm so great activity to do. Hanauma Bay is about 1 km away so that was another day well spent. And for the last night, we had dinner at the original "Roy's Restaurant" which is literally across the street. So very much enjoyed one of our best vacations. Thanks to the owner and family for ensuring that everything is in place. And we hope that we can come back for another visit. Would definitely consider staying here again."

  • Everything we could possible want and more!

"What a wonderful stay we had! This was my families first stay in Hawaii and we had a blast. We first stayed in a place in Waikiki. While that was nice it was very noisy and crowded. It was so refreshing to move away from all the crowds and noise to this very peaceful and charming cottage. We were still 5 minutes away from stores and restaurants but we didn't have to hear fire trucks and motorcycles. The owners are very nice and would e-mail back and forth prior to answer any of the questions we had. They live next door and are willing to assist you with anything you would need. They also respect your privacy and we hardly saw or heard them. The cottage was equipped with anything you could possibly want. They even leave you a few surprises. There is a huge deck that has a couch, TV, a hammock, and hot tub. I loved watching TV from the hot tub at night after a long day of tours. There was even an outdoor shower. They have a fire pit, grill, one person sauna, a shed with beach equipment, a/c (which we didn't need because of the breeze), cable TV and WiFi. There is one bed and then another bed up in a loft. I slept in the loft and I was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and new. I can't wait to plan another vacation. I know where I will be staying."
