  • Hawaii Kai

"My kids and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the rental unit and the area we stayed in.. There was a nice play area close by and the pool was fun. The unit was just the right size and the lanai was fantastic. We were able to borrow a Kayak so the docks made it a great way for us to go out and kayak nearly every morning. Shopping was close by and beaches were not far away. You do need a car if you want to get to places, but there was parking and the people were friendly. This is a great home base to explore the island. When we couldn't get out due to weather or just wanted to hang out, the place was just perfect. I did enjoy the lazy-boy chair in the corner!"

  • Wonderful get away

"To Melanie and Mike, You were perfect hosts to our family during our stay in your beautiful home. It was an unforgotten time to be there when two hurricanes, namely Iselle and Julio, hit the Big Island, but luckily we were spared. The grandkids enjoyed the pool every day and especially after some full days at the beach. You made the 11 of us feel so at home. Everything was very close to the house -- the beaches, shops and restaurants which made our stay more enjoyable. Thank you for your suggestion where we had a wonderful brunch that one morning. We look forward to another great stay at your home in beautiful Hawaii Kai. We talked to friends and they were very interested. Many many thanks. Michi and June K. and our children and grandkids"

  • I would stay here again

"This is a 1970's type house in good condition with just a few minor problems. One of the window air conditioners didn't work and with a simple phone call it was replaced that day. We liked the gated parking and shopping is close including a COSTCO. We were ready to book another week in July for another baseball tournament but the dates were taken."

  • Great stay

"Accurate description of property, location, and amenities. Easy walk to Marina shopping, easy drive to Honolulu and very close attractions like Koko Head and Hamauna Bay. Great location if you want to explore the east side of O'ahu. Just keep in mind there is only 1 bathroom :)"
