  • Great Place to be!

"We stayed 5 nights with Maggie and enjoyed our stay a lot. Quiet side street, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is a large shared kitchen with outside patio to eat and drink. Maggie is very helpfull, you can use everything you need to cook and store you stuff in the room fridge or main fridge. You will need a car to get there, but there is lots of parking along the street in front of the house. All residential area, supermarkets and small marina with restaurants 5 min away (by car). Great place to start excursions to all areas of the island, terrific beaches and 25 min drive to Waikiki. We would definitively stay there again. During our 3 week Hawaii trip this was the most conveniant place for us. 4 Stars: If you are allergic to dogs, dont stay there, as they are cute, huggy and very peaceful. But they do leave some hair one in a while here and there."

  • A Perfect Holiday in Hawaii

"My wife and I spent two lovely weeks at Villa Koko (Marshall’s name for his charming guest house) located in Hawaii Kai (a suburb of Honolulu). We had read all the excellent reviews but were pleased to find that the place itself was even better than we expected. Marshall clearly loves his role as concierge, and he was able to direct us to secret beaches and all the best dining options. We lived like locals in a neighborhood of million dollar homes, located on a golf course, and within walking distance of a surfing beach. Another hidden gem was the Koko Crater Botanical Garden which is also within walking distance and open from dawn to dusk (very safe, very beautiful, and an easy two mile hike). Hawaii Kai is close enough to easily drive to Waikiki but far enough to be away from the vast majority of tourists. This location also has the crown jewel of snorkeling beaches, Hanauma Bay, where you can see an abundance of colorful fish swimming among the coral. We really enjoyed having off street parking, a private entrance, high-end furnishings, and a fabulous garden. Marshall is a delightful host and his little dog Tweed was well behaved but always available to wish us a good morning. We found the tiny kitchenette a bit limiting but adequate for our needs. All things considered, this was a terrific value and a wonderful way to visit paradise."

  • Home away from home.

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I thought the house great, exceeded my expectations. Only a couple of things for a recommendation, maybe some dishes with lids for food storage in the refer, and we could hear possibly mice in the ceiling running around at night when it is quiet."

  • PARADISE FOUND

"This is a great place to relax and enjoy your vacation. We enjoyed the ducks, when you open the patio doors here they come quacking away to greet you in the morning. My husband suffered a stroke after we had made our reservations, I didn't need to cancel. The house is on one level, the deck is a great place to spend time. In the morning the sun bathes you with warmth, then in the afternoon the deck is shaded. The house makes you feel at home, anything you need is there. The ice maker works!! Jane was very thoughtful about providing the house with things you might need. There are plenty of restaurants close by, lots of different choices.A great place to stay."
