  • Relaxing and Comfortable!

"This is my second time staying with Maggie and am looking forward to a third time. The area that her home is in is quiet, clean and peaceful. The home is conveniently located to some of my favorite beaches, hiking trails and many great restaurants. I have enjoyed all my stays with Maggie because she is such a pleasure to talk to and is very knowledgeable about the area and things that you may want to check out. She has just about everything in her home (just ask) which means I can pack less! The bathrooms were stocked with all the toiletries you could need and both rooms I have stayed in have been very clean, well kept, comfortable and stocked with coffees, teas, etc. There is also the use of boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, sunscreen and the list goes on! I truly enjoy staying here and am looking forward to returning to this peaceful place. Mahalo Maggie!"

  • Hawaii Kai GEM !

"There were 4 adults, one teenager, and this oasis was bliss. All the comforts of home, plenty of space, close to quality shopping and dining IN PARADISE. It doesn't get much better and is exactly as listed. This property is very well maintained, quiet, and the Property Manager was a joy to work with."

  • A Perfect Holiday in Hawaii

"My wife and I spent two lovely weeks at Villa Koko (Marshall’s name for his charming guest house) located in Hawaii Kai (a suburb of Honolulu). We had read all the excellent reviews but were pleased to find that the place itself was even better than we expected. Marshall clearly loves his role as concierge, and he was able to direct us to secret beaches and all the best dining options. We lived like locals in a neighborhood of million dollar homes, located on a golf course, and within walking distance of a surfing beach. Another hidden gem was the Koko Crater Botanical Garden which is also within walking distance and open from dawn to dusk (very safe, very beautiful, and an easy two mile hike). Hawaii Kai is close enough to easily drive to Waikiki but far enough to be away from the vast majority of tourists. This location also has the crown jewel of snorkeling beaches, Hanauma Bay, where you can see an abundance of colorful fish swimming among the coral. We really enjoyed having off street parking, a private entrance, high-end furnishings, and a fabulous garden. Marshall is a delightful host and his little dog Tweed was well behaved but always available to wish us a good morning. We found the tiny kitchenette a bit limiting but adequate for our needs. All things considered, this was a terrific value and a wonderful way to visit paradise."

  • All that we had hoped for in a family reunion vacation

"This is our first experience in renting from VRBO and being from Canada, we were very nervous about the accuracy of the photos, contract, etc. But we were attending a family wedding and with 3 families, we fit very nicely into this property (and guest house) with 13 people. The pictures are completely accurate and the backyard is incredible with the ocean view and exposure. The owner's family was very good to deal with and extremely patient with my nervousness around payment, etc. So thanks to them for working with us. We met the house caretaker when we arrived, got great information about the house and the vacation began immediately. The house supplies was very good. The house location besides the beachfront is incredible in that "Costco" is about 3 blocks away. We immediately went there to load up food and the location was great in that it was easy to get to Waikiki and to the east part of the island. Another great thing we did was to rent paddle boards for the duration of our trip. We found a store that delivered the rental and we spent much of the time paddle boarding as the ocean was generally very calm so great activity to do. Hanauma Bay is about 1 km away so that was another day well spent. And for the last night, we had dinner at the original "Roy's Restaurant" which is literally across the street. So very much enjoyed one of our best vacations. Thanks to the owner and family for ensuring that everything is in place. And we hope that we can come back for another visit. Would definitely consider staying here again."
