"We stayed at this condo in July 2015. It is centrally located close to the lagoon, the beach and the boardwalk. The Mauna Loa shopping centre, a number of stores and the Hilton Village are within walking distance. It was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials such as sugar and salt, and every imaginable kitchen gadget. All of the appliances worked well. The owner has boogie boards, beach chairs and towels for your use. Our party of consisted of 5 people. We all had plenty of space. The unit is bright and airy. We loved the views of the mountains and the hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu from the lanai. There is street noise but what else would you expect when staying downtown. The lobby is nice and the elevators are fast. We really loved the bathers' elevator. There are free poolside towels. We never had to fight for a poolside lounger. Mahalo for a great stay."

"We had an amazing time, Ramona was great, very helpful and gave us great tips, the condo lobby was the perfect place to view the outstanding 4th of July fireworks. They say its location location location and this is true, the Ilikai is that location, the view from the condo was beautiful. The view of the Hilton`s show stage from the balcony was an added plus. When booking tours the Ilikai is great because we found we were one of the first hotels to get picked up so we could have our choice of seating and one of the first to get dropped off. In addition to fun in the sun and the aloha spirit I also had the best massage in the spa downstairs. Ala Moana Mall and beach park are an easy short walk. This was the first time I`ve rented a condo and Ramona made it an easy process, thank you for everything, Aloha, can`t wait to return"

"We were very happy with our stay:
-conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki
-onsite parking (included) provided savings and convenience as we rented a mini van and explored all of Honolulu with our 3 and 7 year old kids.
-loved having a working AC
-was able to use the boogie boards, rice mats and sand toys
-was able to do loads of laundry during our stay. Very nice amenity when you are traveling with small children.
-fully stocked, nice decor and very clean

"The unit itself was great and suited our family of 6 very well. Great location for shops, beach, transport, etc. It was well situated to go to and from the beach / pool several times a day which we did. Our 3 kids enjoyed the condo and there was enough room for everyone to fit comfortably. The pool was big enough and nice to relax in and around at any time of day.
Unfortunately, we got off to the worst possible start with our check in handled deplorably - the worst service I have come across in 20 years. After a 9 hour flight we arrived in the morning hot and tired and ready to check in to freshen up before heading to the beach. Our party included a 70 year old grandmother. I met the Manager's Executive Assistant at her desk (just outside the Managers office) in the Marina Hawaii Vacations office on the lobby level at Ilikai. She didn't greet me, just asked for ID and then refused to take my card for payment as she didn't understand how it worked and gave me a rubbish story about it being OK to pay with if we were staying a month not a fortnight. I'm a CEO of a credit union and explained to her how it worked and that clearance time is not an issue. She ignored that and told me I'd have to go to the bank and get cash out as they also wouldn't take American Express. She then said she wouldn't let my family upstairs while I went to the bank, despite the fact we had paid 2 nights deposit and flown 9 hours from Australia, so they had to sit out in the corridor in the heat including 3 kids and a grandmother while I went to the bank. She compounded the problem by giving false directions to the bank which ended up being 4 blocks away from where she directed me. After going to the bank to try and sort the cash payment out as Ilikai requires 100% payment before you stay, I got back to Ilikai and demanded to see her Manager, a fellow named Kevin. To his credit Kevin apologised profusely for the appalling service. He took ownership of the problem and even gave us a discount on our stay. To the owner of the condo thank you for the use of your wonderful facility. To Kevin, thank you for your efforts in repairing the disastrous service of your Executive Assistant. I would highly recommend she be placed somewhere where customers don't interact with her, if you haven't fired her already. I recommend staying here, but be careful who you check in with. The other ladies in the MHV office were terrific."
