"I can't say enough about this condo. Everything is top notch in this condo. The pictures don't do it justice. Granite countertops, comfortable mattresses, leather couch. Grocery store (Food Pantry) is just a short walk away. There is a Safeway close by also. Buses are easy to use (and if you have a Medicare card, the bus is only $1.00, regular fare is $2.50). Very quiet, can't hear the neighbors, one child was in the hallway talking very loud, that is the only noise we heard for our 10 day visit.
We plan on coming back next year! Kai is very easy and pleasant to work with. He is Hawaii hospitality at its finest! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!"

"This home even comes complete with pots, pans, dishes and glasses. Even cleaning supplies, paper towels and toilet paper. Some spices are also in the cabinets.
Hiro, our property manager, was very accommodating. I traveled from Florida, so at first getting in touch with the 6 hour time difference took a minute. Be patient. He is very gracious and helpful, and literally lives next door (a stones throw away).
The property has complete privacy, and the scenic views are incredibly breathtaking. The house does not come with central air conditioning, but the master does have a window unit a/c. The guest bedroom (my room) did not, but by late evening the guest room does cool down. Being on top of the mountain, it does have a constant breeze with ceiling fans throughout the house. Also the guest bedroom has a twin bed, so if you're traveling with another couple, it may be cramped, but with younger children or a single adult it should be fine. There are 2 sleeper sofas in the living room for additional people.
The views looking down on Honolulu, Diamond Head and Waikiki are amazing and the sunsets are gorgeous. You are literally 10 minutes away from grocery stores and restaurants, and 15-20 minutes away from Honolulu.
I would highly recommend this property not only for the price, but for the privacy as well."

"My week with Shoots was so amazing. We picked him up and Josh did such a great job going over the van and telling us all the best spots to camp. The van was well outfitted and had everything we needed to get us on the road after a quick stop to Safeway! Our first 3 nights we stayed at Bellow's Beach. This place is heaven on earth!! Waking up to the sounds of the ocean was great. We had great weather and really enjoyed just hanging out at the beach all day. There is a great local place to eat right outside the gate called Sweet Home Waimanalo Cafe + Market. They have the best curry wrap!! After our stay at Bellow's we headed up to the North Shore to stay at Camp Mokuleia. It was also a great place to camp. The people were so nice and they had hot showers!! We loved the North Shore so much. So much great food!!! My favorite was the Spaghettini. They had good pizza but even better mushroom ravioli. We got to see some surf competitions while were where there- wow that was cool! Camping with Shoots let us really spend quality time on the North Shore and it doesn't get much better than pulling up this sweet ride to watch the sunset on the North Shore of Hawaii!! I can't wait to do this again next year!! Thanks Hawaii Campers- Aloha"

"I visited with my 13-year-old daughter for a week. My two concerns before we arrived were: 1) the beach studio would be too small and 2) the apartment would be too noisy being right by a busy road. The studio was a bit small but we were lucky that the people who had booked the 1-bedroom did not show up and so they let us move next door to the bigger space at no extra cost. Very nice! The noise turned out not to be a problem, but then I live in New York City! If you are used to quiet, you might be upset by the traffic noise in the morning. The ocean right outside the door can also be noisy.
The view can't be beat. You are looking out at the ocean and the crater beyond. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and gazing out. It was gorgeous. The snorkeling right in front of the apartment is not very good and it is very shallow so swimming is not that great either. But the kayaking is great. And you can watch windsurfers out your door in the afternoon.
I really enjoyed the location. We rented a car and drove all around the island. The owners offered a bunch of recommendations of restaurants and places to see along with the details about the apartment and I thought most of them were excellent. I really appreciated their inside knowledge. Island Brew is a great coffee house.
The 1-bedroom was a little tough for an adult and nearly grown child. My daughter had to sleep on the pullout couch, which had an air mattress that deflated the first two nights we were there. We finally dragged in a twin mattress from the Beach Studio and she slept on that. The kitchen was nice but lacks an oven. You can barbecue right outside and there is a washer and dryer for laundry. The TV offerings were very limited and the Internet was extremely slow, if you care about that. There is no AC but we never needed to use the fans provided. There were nice breezes off the water. The queen bed was quite soft.
Overall, I am not sure I would return with a teen. The place is better suited for a couple who can share the one bed. It would be great for a romantic getaway for a couple who want to see the island."
