"We stayed here for a week. It is the perfect location if you don't have a car - you can easily walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. The studio was clean and provided all the basic items you'd need to do some cooking, make coffee, etc. Extra towels provided for the beach, along with beach chairs and umbrellas. Laundry facilities on the 5th floor are great. We sat and enjoyed coffee on that floor's large lanai, with breezes blowing, while doing laundry. Building is very secure, with on-site security down at the main entrance. One block away is a 24-hour diner, with decent prices. Area food shops/places to pick up sundries are all within a couple of blocks. We did have a car, and chose to park at the Eaton Square Parking deck, which is a couple of blocks away. There was always an attendant on hand and we always found a parking spot. Be sure to ask about their flat rates - save money on parking. If you don't need a car, just use public transportation, which can get you anywhere in the city. You can walk all around Waikiki from this location, and you are a short walk to Ala Moana Mall, which is huge - if you want to do some shopping. Starbucks is just a block away at Hilton Hawaiian Village, where you'll also find many shops, etc. Studio's rental price is very reasonable, considering hotel room rates in Waikiki. If you, like me, aren't used to a lot of noise at night, you might consider bringing earplugs - you will hear traffic if you leave the lanai door open, and the air conditioner is a bit noisy if you choose to use it. However, I managed well with earplugs. Good view of Diamond Head from the lanai, and you have a nice view of park across the street from the studio, as well as ocean view in the distance. A great price and location if you want to stay close to all the action in Waikiki, but don't want to deal with driving in Honolulu (which is crazy). Mahalo!"
