The property manager was adequately helpful.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Stayed 32 days Sept and Oct 2015. We have stayed at the Waikiki Sunset numerous times in the past and knew what to expect, we prefer the Diamond Head end of Waikiki as it is a little quieter and closer to the beach areas we prefer and having the natural gas BBQ grills at the Sunset are wonderful! The unit 2106 itself is adequate, all rooms ending in “04” or “06” are located directly behind the elevators and if you’re a light sleeper may find the elevator noise annoying. We normally don’t use the air conditioner when we sleep but found we had to use it here with the fan on low at night to mask the elevator sounds. The unit had all the necessary requirements for our stay, and the included parking stall was a “bonus”. We normally have had to purchase cookware or knives at other rental units in the past but were very pleased with the quality and quantity of kitchen amenities. Cleanliness was the only negative, probably why the cleaning fees are lower than most rentals. The dust bunnies and items residing under the chesterfield were scary; when we lifted the rugs for vacuuming I’m sure they hadn’t seen the light of day for months. The shower curtain is covered in black mould anywhere it touches the tub and it took a good five to ten minutes for the shower water to drain. ( note : Plumbing is an issue at all rentals in Waikiki, all of these buildings were constructed in the 70’s and with the amount of sand going down those drains it’s no wonder) Overall, the unit is adequate. We would definitely not hesitate to book it again"

"This was the perfect condo for our Hawaiian vacation! We spent 10 wonderful days Sept. 28 - Oct. 8 in an ideal location! It was a pleasure dealing with Linda from the very beginning. She gets back to you right away and is great about answering any questions you may have. She provided us with a very detailed list of suggestions for where to eat and shop, sites to visit and how to get around.
The condo is clean, well-furnished and had everything we needed. There is a well-stocked kitchen so we were able to enjoy some of our meals in the condo which helped with expenses. Eating out on the lanai was heaven! The sunset views from the lanai were amazing and even though we had the afternoon sun, the condo was very cool! The air conditioner is very efficient and quiet! The king-size bed is very comfortable which is high on our list of priorities when we travel. The huge closet with a dresser, allowed us to keep our clothes and suitcases (and all our purchases) neatly organized and out of the way. The bathroom vanity is large! My husband and I were able to keep all of our things out and get ready at the same time!
There are so many special touches... a portable shopping cart if you choose to walk to the store for groceries...a large tote, beach towels, and beach chairs which were great for our trips to the beach...a sliding door to separate the bedroom from the living room...a landline phone with free calls to the mainland...free wireless internet. an Oahu guide book. Linda has truly thought of everything! The washer and dryer on the floor were convenient and knowing about them we didn't pack as many clothes. Being on the 17th floor provided us with beautiful views as well as quiet from any street noise.
The Ilikai is in a great location. We walked to restaurants and shops. We watched the Friday night fireworks from the downstairs patio. We ate at Cinnamon's in the hotel...very good and convenient. There is also a great new little shop that just opened in the Ilikai. Everything (carved wood, jewelry, scarves, soaps, etc.) in it is made in Hawaii. We picked up some great souvenirs and gifts! We did rent a car to drive to other parts of the island. We saved money by parking in the garage on Hobron St.- very easy and just a short walk from the hotel.
Condo 1737 was truly paradise and we can't wait to go back!"

"I stayed for ten nights at this wonderful condo from oct 9-19th. I booked it about a week and a half before I left on my spur of the moment trip. Elina was so helpful and nice! She was very prompt in answering any question I had. The condo is incredibly clean and had everything I needed including a toaster, coffee pot, hair dryer, and a nice size refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and the AC came in handy! The fifth floor is beautiful and so clean! the washer and dryers are conveniently located. I sat on the lounge chairs in the sun while my laundry was going. Two of my friends had birthdays on the trip, we used the bbq down on the 5th floor. The atmosphere at the inn on the park is very low key filled with friendly people. I highly recommend renting this clean spacious condo for anyone looking for a conveniently located place at an excellent price. I would love to stay here again when I return to honolulu."

"I can't say enough about this condo. Everything is top notch in this condo. The pictures don't do it justice. Granite countertops, comfortable mattresses, leather couch. Grocery store (Food Pantry) is just a short walk away. There is a Safeway close by also. Buses are easy to use (and if you have a Medicare card, the bus is only $1.00, regular fare is $2.50). Very quiet, can't hear the neighbors, one child was in the hallway talking very loud, that is the only noise we heard for our 10 day visit.
We plan on coming back next year! Kai is very easy and pleasant to work with. He is Hawaii hospitality at its finest! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!"
