  • Nice place, super nice landlord, great location

"I totally agree with the previous review. The apartment itself is nice and clean, exactly as on the photos, there was EVERYTHING that we needed and even more, the kitchen was better stocked than my own - very true. The landlord was super nice and helpful!!! We were pleased with the location - away from the busy center and noise but close to everything. 5 min (walking) from the kids friendly beach and tons of ABS stores, buses, 5-10 min from restaurants, 15 min from SAFEWAY. And the biggest advantage for us (two adults and 3.5 y/o child) - there was a playground (in the school) right next to the house. We came to Hawaii in the summer so this playground was available for public which was great. There is an awesome zoo 5 min away from the house. The neighborhood is safe even late in the evening. The pool was cold though."

  • Best view in Honolulu with all the amenities!

"Considering I knew nothing of location or the area this condo and what it offers was perfect. Equipped with everything you would need and more; it is accessible, quiet and only blocks from the beach. The unobstructed view of Diamondhead is a gift. With the pool on the same floor and the laundry room next door, linens and supplies in plenty, staying in this condo made our trip to Honolulu the perfect first experience to the Island. Thank you so much; I will stay here again!"

  • aloha hideaway!

"This rental was exactly as the picture show. It was spotlessly clean and spacious too. The only concern I had at all was that the door to the lanai did not lock. Which isn't so much a security concern as it is a concern for a small boy I have that likes to get up in the night and wander. It was easy to get to. The parking was great for our rental car. Because we are at one end of the beach strip, and a couple of blocks back, you never really had to drive through all the main strip traffic. It was a great experience here!"

  • Great Location - Easy access to everything

"We were looking for a place that would feel comfortable to a group of 5 and that would be convenient for an elderly person. This place was definitely the right choice. Ramona helped turn a potentially stressful situation into a great vacation. We had to change our trip dates due to Hurricane Ana threats and she was very accommodating, which took a lot of the stress away. The place has beautiful views from every angle and on Tuesdays and Fridays you get to see the free fireworks from the hotel next door. They also had singing and hula dancing at the Ilikai on Friday night, which was great entertainment. It really makes no sense to get a hotel room when you can rent a place like this, with a living/dining room and kitchen as added bonus. We were able to relax for breakfast in the morning while planning our activities for the day and if we didn't feel like doing much, we could just walk to the lagoon and beach. The weather was perfect throughout, even when it rained! You can hop onto the Waikiki Trolley or city bus that stops right in front of the Ilikai. It literally takes you everywhere you might want to go. This was good for my elderly mother. We also ended up renting a car to get to North Shore and Hanauma Bay. The paid parking by the harbor was not cheap, but most convenient as you could just take the ramp at the back of the complex to get to it. Having a kitchen was vital. It was fully stocked so you really just need to buy groceries. We always ended up with a lot of leftovers and my baby girl needs milk, so it was definitely useful. Ramona really has the place stocked with all beach essentials. My baby girl loved that she had buckets and shovels to play with and my mom loved that she had beach chairs. These would all have been added expenses had they not been provided. Definitely recommend staying here. My 3-yr old girl started calling it home after two days. It was an experience we will cherish for a long time."
