"The unit itself was great and suited our family of 6 very well. Great location for shops, beach, transport, etc. It was well situated to go to and from the beach / pool several times a day which we did. Our 3 kids enjoyed the condo and there was enough room for everyone to fit comfortably. The pool was big enough and nice to relax in and around at any time of day.
Unfortunately, we got off to the worst possible start with our check in handled deplorably - the worst service I have come across in 20 years. After a 9 hour flight we arrived in the morning hot and tired and ready to check in to freshen up before heading to the beach. Our party included a 70 year old grandmother. I met the Manager's Executive Assistant at her desk (just outside the Managers office) in the Marina Hawaii Vacations office on the lobby level at Ilikai. She didn't greet me, just asked for ID and then refused to take my card for payment as she didn't understand how it worked and gave me a rubbish story about it being OK to pay with if we were staying a month not a fortnight. I'm a CEO of a credit union and explained to her how it worked and that clearance time is not an issue. She ignored that and told me I'd have to go to the bank and get cash out as they also wouldn't take American Express. She then said she wouldn't let my family upstairs while I went to the bank, despite the fact we had paid 2 nights deposit and flown 9 hours from Australia, so they had to sit out in the corridor in the heat including 3 kids and a grandmother while I went to the bank. She compounded the problem by giving false directions to the bank which ended up being 4 blocks away from where she directed me. After going to the bank to try and sort the cash payment out as Ilikai requires 100% payment before you stay, I got back to Ilikai and demanded to see her Manager, a fellow named Kevin. To his credit Kevin apologised profusely for the appalling service. He took ownership of the problem and even gave us a discount on our stay. To the owner of the condo thank you for the use of your wonderful facility. To Kevin, thank you for your efforts in repairing the disastrous service of your Executive Assistant. I would highly recommend she be placed somewhere where customers don't interact with her, if you haven't fired her already. I recommend staying here, but be careful who you check in with. The other ladies in the MHV office were terrific."

If you looking for a nice cozy condo across from the beach, then I highly recommend this place!
"Me and my wife have stayed on the Waikiki strip a dozen times in the last 10 years. We recently have been paying to stay in rental units. This one is across from the beach, and a beautiful lagoon, it also has a hotel pool, for guest. The apartment is a studio, which was perfect for us and our baby. Big enough, cozy bed. And they also nice couch which folds out into a nice bed. I'd stay up late and watch tv, and lounge on this, while the wife and baby would be snoozing , I'd be chilling out. Another benefit is having a kitchen which was stocked with all our cooking needs. A nice balcony that was over looking the boat harbor, and 16 floors up. Anyway I would recommend this place, it's not a five star penthouse, but it's nice, clean, cozy, and we enjoyed staying here. And when we return to Hawaii well try book here again! Thanks from Robert, and Tami in Alaska😀"

Great location and very clean condo! We enjoyed it! Thank you Inna!
"We have to say sorry to you, Inna, for waking you up at 3 am your time. I remembered you E-mailed me a while ago regarding how to enter into the condo, so I did not have a question about it, until we got there... Fortunately, it was all good at the end. Sorry.
Thank you Inna for taking care of your condo. It is very clean! The location is awesome too! Our kids enjoyed the roof top swimming pool very much."

"My wife and I decided at the last minute to come to Waikiki on a quick get away. During our search for hotels, we were shocked at the high rates. My wife told me about VRBO and we narrowed our search to the Waikiki Banyan as we have had friends also stay there. This property popped up and looked amazing in the pictures. I made initial inquiries and Josh was very helpful in explaining the booking process. We booked immediately since the rate was very reasonable compared to what was available at the level of comfort we desired. My wife and I were very impressed. The unit was as pictured in the posting. Very well maintained and spotless. All clean new furniture in the living area and bedroom, sleek flat screen tv and amazing view of canoes surf break. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed while on vacay. The balcony included seating for two and was accessible through the living area. The place was well stocked with towels, sheets, pillows and an iron. The closet has adequate space. The unit also includes a washer and dryer on each floor. Just be sure to bring your own toiletries, keeping in mind this isn't a hotel. However, a lot of standard hotel items are in the unit. The rental also comes with access to the spa and pool area. Overall this place had it all, great location, views and customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When ever we return to Waikiki we will definitely be back."
