"We stayed at this condo over the 4th of July this year. It was perfect---the kitchen is fully equipped so breakfast was easy every day & late night snacks a breeze. 2 lanais offered fantastic views of the public lagoon and ocean beach or the marina, famous for the opening scenes of Gilligan's Island. The fantastic location provided excellent views of the fireworks on Friday nights and the next door Ala Moana beach hosted the 4th of July display. The pool is nice but the ocean was better. The beach closest doesn't have soft deep sand---great for little kids, but if you want better sand it's just up the beach where you can rent chairs and and umbrella. If you drive, gas stations are just up Ala Moana Blvd. The ABC store for quick pick ups of food and toiletries. For big grocery shopping visit Don Quixote's which is easy to access via car or taxi. Ala Moana open air shopping mall is an easy walk ---- lots of stores and restaurants. This condo has everything you need or want."

"Margaret's place in Waikiki served us well for our three night stay. A good enough location, comfortable bed, nice views and an outside space to sit and enjoy a drink were all appreciated. But maybe the best feature is the super quiet A/C unit. I have rented many condos in the past and they usually come with something that is very noisy and make it hard to sleep at night, but this one was barely noticeable in the background. Margaret herself communicated well and was very responsive to requests, including one for a late checkout. All in all I would recommend the place to others with no reservation."

"The unit itself was great and suited our family of 6 very well. Great location for shops, beach, transport, etc. It was well situated to go to and from the beach / pool several times a day which we did. Our 3 kids enjoyed the condo and there was enough room for everyone to fit comfortably. The pool was big enough and nice to relax in and around at any time of day.
Unfortunately, we got off to the worst possible start with our check in handled deplorably - the worst service I have come across in 20 years. After a 9 hour flight we arrived in the morning hot and tired and ready to check in to freshen up before heading to the beach. Our party included a 70 year old grandmother. I met the Manager's Executive Assistant at her desk (just outside the Managers office) in the Marina Hawaii Vacations office on the lobby level at Ilikai. She didn't greet me, just asked for ID and then refused to take my card for payment as she didn't understand how it worked and gave me a rubbish story about it being OK to pay with if we were staying a month not a fortnight. I'm a CEO of a credit union and explained to her how it worked and that clearance time is not an issue. She ignored that and told me I'd have to go to the bank and get cash out as they also wouldn't take American Express. She then said she wouldn't let my family upstairs while I went to the bank, despite the fact we had paid 2 nights deposit and flown 9 hours from Australia, so they had to sit out in the corridor in the heat including 3 kids and a grandmother while I went to the bank. She compounded the problem by giving false directions to the bank which ended up being 4 blocks away from where she directed me. After going to the bank to try and sort the cash payment out as Ilikai requires 100% payment before you stay, I got back to Ilikai and demanded to see her Manager, a fellow named Kevin. To his credit Kevin apologised profusely for the appalling service. He took ownership of the problem and even gave us a discount on our stay. To the owner of the condo thank you for the use of your wonderful facility. To Kevin, thank you for your efforts in repairing the disastrous service of your Executive Assistant. I would highly recommend she be placed somewhere where customers don't interact with her, if you haven't fired her already. I recommend staying here, but be careful who you check in with. The other ladies in the MHV office were terrific."

"I spent 2 weeks in Gary's condo in the Royal Kuhio Hotel. This is very nice, well stocked condo on the 30th. floor with gorgeous views of the Ko'olau Mountains! Gary is an excellent host and takes care of everything promptly and was very accommodating to my needs for an early arrival into the condo. Great location in central Waikiki with the Bus stop close and the beach and Kalakaua Ave. just 2 blocks away! Mahalo Gary for helping to make my move to Oahu a little easier!"
