  • The WOW Factor Explained

"We have traveled extensively through out our working careers for both work and play. Past retirement, we continue to travel as much as possible. One of our favorite destinations is the Waikiki area. First visit for me was in 1959, stationed Navy, Ford Island 60s, honeymooned 70s, and have tried to make it back to the Islands every year since. We have witnessed the areas growth and kept on top of what and where the best locations were to stay. In our opinion, if you are researching the Waikiki area trying to find a great place to stay, just stop looking, you will not find a better condo unit or location than this one. You wake each morning with an un-obstructed view of Diamond Head literally at your feet along with an occasional rainbow. Later you may hear unusual sounds from the Honolulu Zoo, very refreshingly unique. Breathtaking views from the kitchen or about anywhere within the condo. The walls are decorated with uniquely selected art making us feel at home in the Islands. A couple block walk to the beach or park. The building is located in a "not" crowded part of Waikiki and that is unique for Waikiki. A main bus stop is one block away. It happens to be the beginning of the route so always a seat available, very convenient. If any questions came up, the owners response was immediate. Our stay was beautiful. One re-occurring event was noted, found ourselves saying "WOW" over and over so we believe that says it all. Mahalo Richard & Sherrie Santa Barbara, Ca."

  • Beautiful condo

"Very nicely decorated, with a great view. Located at east end of waikiki beach it is less crowded, which is nice, but also a short walk into the center of it all. Condo came with a full kitchen including all expected and some extras. Highly recommended for stays in waikiki."

  • Colony Surf

"We enjoyed our annual 3 month winter escape in this unit as it is comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities required in the kitchenette, bathroom, and in-suite laundry facilities. The location of this accommodation is supurb as it offers the ocean, the park, tennis courts, and good bus service all right outside your door while being within a 20 minute walk to all the major activities and attractions of Waikiki. We particularly enjoyed not having to require air conditioning as the trade winds flowed throughout the unit very nicely. Great, attentive, and responsive landlords as well should anything be required as they were very accessible. We would have no hesitation recommending this unit for a nice Hawaiian holiday."

  • Great stay at Aqua Bamboo January 9th - 19th, 2015

"My daughter and I enjoyed a great stay at the Aqua Bamboo from January 9th to the 19th. The condo is exactly as shown in the pictures on VRBO. The location is great, less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. Positives - Location, location, location. I liked this end of Waikiki beach the most. It is close to Diamond Head, the Honolulu Zoo, and a vast stretch of great shops and restaurants along Kuhio Ave. The pool area is adorable and never crowded, making it feel like we were at our own private resort. The room was very clean upon our arrival and stocked with towels, and toiletries for our stay. There is a boogie board, a blow up lounger, beach mats and chairs available for use. I found this to be a nice touch. The bed was super comfortable. This condo rental is a great value. Negatives - I had difficulties getting in touch with Dave via email before departing for my trip. The lock box code was not sent to me 24hrs before departure and I had to call to get it. As I was travelling from Canada, and did not want to incur avoidable long distance charges, I would have appreciated getting in touch via email. However when I did call Dave, I was able to reach him immediately and get the code. The pool area is enclosed by buildings, and although it is lovely, there is not much sun during the course of the day, so needless to say the water is bit chilly. The condo is in a hotel I believe, where some units are privately owned and others are hotel units. I found the some of the staff were not as attentive to my needs when they discovered I was renting a private unit. Parking of course is atrocious at $25/ day with no discount for weekly rates. It is however conveniently located right next door. Overall I would say this is an excellent condo offering great value, and I would definitely return. Mahalo Dave!"
