  • Graduation

"Went to Hawaii for my daughter's graduation, and the condo turned out just perfect! Looks just like it does in the photos. You can tell that the owner cares about the maintenance an upkeep of her condo. I was given great instructions for checking in, parking, use of elevators, laundry etc. Great location if you want to be in near good Waikiki shopping. I would stay here again if I was planning a trip back to Ohau, and would recommend it as a great and very comfortable place to stay."

  • Nice, clean, great view and very comfortable

"I am so used in staying at the Royal Kuhio since my sister has a time share, but unfortunately I can't get the dates that I wanted. I started looking around and found Gary's place, I will admit that I was skeptical at first because of the pictures but I said to myself, what the heck, it's affordable and I just needed a place to stay. I was so surprised when I got to the unit, it was so much better than the pictures! My other friend paid more for her unit in the same building and Gary's place was much much better. It was so clean and smells clean! Bed was so comfy and kitchen was complete. Great view of Ala Wai canal, nice veranda, comfortable sofa plus you are all the way up on the 20th floor. I would stay at Gary's in a heart beat and highly recommends it! FYI, the location is in the middle of everything you need in Waikiki. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping and of course the beach! One very happy visitor"

  • Great location. Good buidling. Furnishings / Cleanliness need a little work

"Great location close to bars and restaurants and only a short walk to the beach. Two large lanais with great views of Waikiki, Diamond Head and panoramic ocean vista. Quiet floor - no noise from neighbors. Older building but well maintained with good security and friendly, helpful staff. Cleanliness of the condo could have been better. We had to wash dish towels and cleaning clths because they smelled and the general cleanliness of bedrooms could have been much better. We also cleaned the air filter on the dryer which was clogged and if left may have been a fire hazard. Furnishings are cheap and in need of updating. We had to tape bedroom light switch to make it work and beds were hard and very uncomfortable. Sofa had temporary leg and back support which didn't hold for the duration of our stay."

  • Convenient to everything in Waikiki

"This condo was our second time at the Royal Kuhio and we will be staying here again in the future. The view was fantastic and the amenities were great for us. Having the bus stop right in front was convenient as well and we were able to also walk to most of the restaurants, beaches and other activities in Waikiki. We highly recommend this unit, even though the wait for the elevators was sometimes long - something that can't be avoided regardless of location. We found the check-in and check-out to be flawless and for the one minor issue we had, the response was quick and maintenance very accommodating. Mahalo!"
