"The unit was as advertised, and was in a very good location, next to the Ala Moana Mall.
I am involved in managing a resort hotel, so am perhaps more particular than most. E.g.the grout around the tub was deteriorated, and mold was starting to form. The hotel makes clear that a private owner/manager is responsible, but they could provide no information about who that was, and there was no such information in the room.
The TVs" "guide" feature did not work, and there was no list of available channels. I would have preferred some laundry availability, or at least maid service, but was not able to get it. I evaluate rooms by how good the bed and shower are, and both were good. Some CFL bulbs were out, but extras were on hand. A dish towel and dish rag would have been nice, rather than using bath towels.
These are apparently all recently remodeled units (according to realtor posters). I was surprised that there was no bathroom vent fan (which would have been code where I live). At the realtor's advertised prices, these units should have a fabulous ROI, and many appear available. This 21st floor unit was quiet enough, but the hall way doors shut loud enough to wake the dead. I appreciated being close to the huge mall, as it offered many dining and gathering opportunities, and being a block from the park was a plus also. The unit is positioned well to take in sunsets, though I would have preferred the other end of the building. The rates are on a par with what we charge, so no complaint there (although most VRBO's in the area were rented at the time I went, so no real way to compare). Overall, a favorable experience."
