  • Be at Home away from Home

"We stayed at the Waikiki Shore in 2008 and when we were doing our planning we had to stay there again - We found the perfect unit. From the time we inquired about the unit until we left we could not have been happier. Terri provided all of the information needed prior to our trip for check in and staying at the condo. The whole process was so smooth and worry free I thought it was too good to be true. The unit itself was immaculate upon entry and had everything a family needs away from home – living room, dining area, full kitchen, bathroom, towels, linens, a HUGE Lanai as well as beach items for use PLUS a washer and dryer and WIFI! It was the best equipped condo we have ever rented – the kitchen had everything and there were magazines with things to do around Oahu, restaurant suggestions and maps for driving (which we would have been lost without them!!). The location is perfect – it is away from the hustle and bustle but within a convenient walk to all kinds of shopping and restaurants on the Waikiki strip – an added plus is The Outrigger Reef being right next door which offers a selection of good restaurants and evening entertainment. The unit’s building is very secure. It is s right on the beach with a park next door and if you don’t have a car the bus route is nearby. You actually walk downstairs and right out onto the beach. From there you can walk all the way up Waikiki beach looking up at Diamond Head or the sunset on your return. Another big plus to this unit is it includes a parking space – included in the price - in the garage downstairs. We always rent a car so it was wonderful knowing we had the same parking spot waiting for us so that we could come and go without worrying about where to park. The huge lanai was the best – if we weren’t out and about or sleeping we were enjoying the lanai – having our morning, enjoying some evening drinks or just relaxing enjoying the view and people watching. We felt so at home in this unit and really can’t say enough good things about our experience. Since we believe booking a condo is so much more convenient and economical than a hotel room - we would recommend this owner and unit. It is a great value for the price Mahalo, Terri for making our stay in Waikiki a memorable one."

  • Fabulous views, great location

"The views from this condo are some of the best in Waikiki. You couldn't get much closer to the sand. Sitting on the balcony you can watch the passing parade, check out the seal frolicking in the sea, smell the aromas wafting up from the Steak Shack downstairs, watch the fireworks on a Friday night and have front row seats to the lovely sunsets. People gather just outside to watch the sunsets and fireworks but staying here you get the best seats in the house. Hotel rooms are much more common than condo's in Waikiki which is surprising for an area popular with families and those that you do find are often very expensive. This condo is good value for money and spacious. It is not two bedroom but there is a sofa bed in the living room which kids should find okay. Not so comfortable for adults though. It does have 2 bathrooms though which was a must with our two teenage daughters. The kitchen has everything you require in terms of applicances etc. plus crockery, glasses, etc. Surprisingly there are no large supermarkets within walking distance and unless you have a car you will have to go to ABC stores for supplies or the larger Food Pantry which is about a 20 minute walk. We did prepare most of our breakfasts there though. There is a washing machine/dryer which comes in very handy. The condo is very clean and functional. It is located just out of the busy part of Waikiki but an easy walk to get to all the shops and restaurants. If you want to get to the main beach in front of the Royal Hawaiian you can walk along the beach path to get there. You also get access to the pool area at the Outrigger next door which was very nice with several bars and restaurants. You can also get beach towels there. WIFI was very good and overall the condo provided everything we needed. Recommended."

  • Perfection!

"Perfect location! We've stayed at The Shore before, and this was a very convenient condo. It is on the 3rd floor, so no need to wait for the elevator that sometimes takes a while because it's a 14 floor building. The area is right on the beach. The condo is very clean, newly renovated, all the amenities you need are there. There are spices, and extras such as peanut butter, salt, etc from other people that have been there to cook with if need be, pots, pans, a coffee maker, a blender wine glasses, etc. The bed was comfortable, there is full wifi, full stations on tv as well. I recommend bringing some DVD's if you want to watch movies, but he has a few. There are many bath towels, and linens provided though I recommend bringing beach towels. There are 2 hair dryers too, so no need to bring one. The building is right next to the Outrigger, so you have access to the restaurant and the Shorebird which was our favorite place to hang out at night and watch people karaoke every night, or go and listen to live Hawaiian music by the pool at 7pm. Happy hour at 10pm. The beach area is quieter than the main beach which is great, but all in all, the area is totally central. Maybe a 5 minute walk to shopping district, and there are ABC stores everywhere. I swear you can't get a better deal or a better price! We will be back 100%"

  • Beautiful View, Outrigger makes it extra special.

"We stayed here for 16 nights. The room is as advertised. The view is awesome. Enjoyed the Friday night fireworks. The relationship with Outrigger Reef hotel makes this property extra special. We have stayed at many Outrigger properties, but we like a condo. I think this is the only condo ON Waikiki beach. We used the pool and the hot tubs, were given towels for the pool or the beach without much fuss. Only 1 time were we asked to sign out towels, and I think that was the policy of that one employee. No one else asked more than our room number. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Used the Outrigger phone in the lobby and our room wasn't ready so went grocery shopping and came back later. We called the Outrigger House Guest line 3 times. Once to ask about a lost item, once to request softer pillows (which showed up in 30 mins) and once to report that the air conditioner started dripping madly and we had bowls under it. That came and fixed it right away while we were out. Every person we spoke with from the owner to the front desk to everyone at Outrigger was wonderful. We had a car and we were lucky enough to get a spot in the garage of the Waikiki Shore the 2nd night. It's not inexpensive, $25 a night, but it is the same at most of the big hotels. We were prepared for that ahead of time. Had a great trip. My only concern was the maid service only came twice while we where there. I don't know if it is set up that way by the owner or not. When we checked in they said every 4 days. That was however, a minor concern. We really enjoyed the deck for he early mornings, watching the birds fly around Fort DeRussy while enjoying coffee. (There is a Starbucks in the Outrigger Reef) The soldiers drilling at 6 am on Fridays not as much, but it is a fort after all. Would definitely come back."
