  • Beautiful View, Outrigger makes it extra special.

"We stayed here for 16 nights. The room is as advertised. The view is awesome. Enjoyed the Friday night fireworks. The relationship with Outrigger Reef hotel makes this property extra special. We have stayed at many Outrigger properties, but we like a condo. I think this is the only condo ON Waikiki beach. We used the pool and the hot tubs, were given towels for the pool or the beach without much fuss. Only 1 time were we asked to sign out towels, and I think that was the policy of that one employee. No one else asked more than our room number. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Used the Outrigger phone in the lobby and our room wasn't ready so went grocery shopping and came back later. We called the Outrigger House Guest line 3 times. Once to ask about a lost item, once to request softer pillows (which showed up in 30 mins) and once to report that the air conditioner started dripping madly and we had bowls under it. That came and fixed it right away while we were out. Every person we spoke with from the owner to the front desk to everyone at Outrigger was wonderful. We had a car and we were lucky enough to get a spot in the garage of the Waikiki Shore the 2nd night. It's not inexpensive, $25 a night, but it is the same at most of the big hotels. We were prepared for that ahead of time. Had a great trip. My only concern was the maid service only came twice while we where there. I don't know if it is set up that way by the owner or not. When we checked in they said every 4 days. That was however, a minor concern. We really enjoyed the deck for he early mornings, watching the birds fly around Fort DeRussy while enjoying coffee. (There is a Starbucks in the Outrigger Reef) The soldiers drilling at 6 am on Fridays not as much, but it is a fort after all. Would definitely come back."

  • Great place to stay

"Condo was excellent, had everything you would need. Perfect location ..step out the back door of condo complex right onto the beach. Lots of bars, snack places, etc, as you stroll down the beach. Excellent view as no buildings to obstruct the view of the city or of the beach. Walking distance to Waikiki Trolley service, restaurants and shopping. Jean is friendly, helpful and makes you feel right at home. (even with arriving 4 hours later due to flight delay). Would recommend this to anyone wanting to have a wonderful stay in Honolulu."

  • wonderful stay

"Dear Steve and chris, Thank you for our wonderful stay in your place. It nearly felt like being home but with a much grander view. WOW! What a view. So close to everything and quiet. The verandah was great to sit and watch the sun going down. Thank you, M & K"

  • A Jewel in Paradise.

"We actually stayed here in July 2013. One of our friends had stayed in this condo in 2012, when we stayed in Harry's 2 bedroom condo with in-laws (bad move that one!). This condo had impressed us back then, so we were very happy to be able to get it. This was our 7th visit to Waikiki and this was the best accommodation so far. The all the rooms are spacious, well furnished, well maintained and very clean. It's great to have a full bathroom, a full kitchen and an in-unit washer/dryer after staying in pokey hotel rooms in the past. The bed is large and comfortable, with a great aspect looking out onto the lanai and beyond. Wonderful to leave the bedroom door open onto the lanai of a night and feel the gentle scented breeze entering from Fort Derussy Park. The lanai is quite long, with access from both the bedroom and the loungeroom. A good feature is that it has security shutter/screens that can be lowered and locked at he handrail height giving comfort of security if leaving the lanai doors open of a night. Being on the 1st floor, the condo is under the tree canopy in the park next door. No you don't get expansive beach views, but you aren't short changed. It means that the condo and lanai are protected from the harsh midday sun and you enjoy wonderful tropical views through the beautifully maintained Fort Derussy Park next door. You can view the ocean, but it's a dappled view through the park's trees. All in all, a great landscape and a magnificent lanai to enjoy a beverage at any time of the day or night. A full-size fridge come in handy for food and beverages. Beats a minibar fridge hands-down. There's also a full stove, however I'm not cooking with all the surrounding food choices, but it's there if you need it. Beach towels are also supplied in the linen press, so no need to cart your own from home. At the front of the Waikiki Shore, there's a few food kiosks. Subway have an outlet downstairs and the smell of their bread being baked in the morning starts you salivating. Make sure you try the inexpensive Steak Shack offerings for a delicious lunch. There's a masseuses, beautician, surf shop and activities booking agent down there as well. Beach chairs, boards, kayaks, etc can be rented on the beach out front, as well as a surfing lesson. Such a nice condo and such nice owners. We're back again in April 2015, thanks Terry!"
