Recent Waikiki reviews

"Booked this condo from May 30th thru June 10th (5 people) I was not disappointed. The location was perfect as it was close to the heart of Waikiki (within a 15 min walk) and just a mere 5 minutes’ walk to Ala Moana shopping and beach. So convenient! Just near the condo are numerous places to eat and an ABC store at the corner. The condo itself is situated so that you have a front view of the ocean and harbor and the back view of the canal and the surrounding hills. Although the unit has air conditioning, when the front and back windows/sliding doors are open there is an island breeze that cools everything down. It is a great light and airy space. Sitting out on the front balcony eating your breakfast or sipping an evening glass of wine, you will see beautiful views and sunsets. The unit itself is very nicely equipped with just about everything you could need. Used the kitchen to prepare a few breakfasts and dinners. The building itself is an older building, but the condo is clean and well organized. If you’re ready to go to the beach there are beach towels and chairs available to use. This condo fulfilled my expectations. I would recommend it to family and friends and would use it again. Just being in Hawaii was so much fun. Having a clean, updated, organized condo with such great views and perfect location just enhanced the experience."

  • Immaculate

"My husband and I spent 18 days here. Such a beautifully appointed room with a completely modern and spacious feel. It was absolutely spotless (and we're picky). The kitchen was totally convenient and had everything we needed to prepare whatever we wanted. The view of the beach and the fireworks was awesome. I would definitely recommend!"

  • Our stay

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was very comfortable and modern with really good air con. The Ala Moana hotel is a good building with great service when checking in and we booked our day trips in the lobby and they were very helpful. It was also convenient being connected to the shopping centre! Only negative would be it is about a $15 can ride or 20 min walk to the main part in Waikiki and the nightlife. Other than that, we loved staying there."

  • Great location, wonderful amenities!

"Our family of 3, including our 6 year old daughter, stayed in this condo for a week. The location was wonderful, walking distance to the beach and many shops and restaurants. We took advantage of the parking spot, which is included in the cost of the rental, and explored the island beyond Waikiki. The unit included a lot of extras, including: beach chairs and mats, beach towels, snorkel gear for two, a cooler and ice packs, sand toys, and a boogie board. There was also a spice set, paper towels and soap, which having stayed in vrbo rentals before, I know this is something that is rarely provided. The bedroom has sliding doors that separate the living and bedroom, this was important for us in order to put our daughter to bed but not have to go to sleep ourselves at 8 pm! There are two double beds in the bedroom, as well as a pull out sofa. There were extra blankets and plenty of towels. The condo was spotless and welcoming when we arrived, the air conditioning was on and had cooled the condo to a comfortable temperature. There is a Safeway not too far away, as well as several smaller walkable shops in order to purchase food and drinks. The condo has a keypad entry lock, which is great, especially when going to the beach. At one point, it appeared that the battery was getting low, so we called Dolly to let her know. She was very fast to respond, and had the battery changed the next day while we were out. It seems that Dolly takes the travelers' comfort under careful consideration in everything she does. Some of our favorites that should not be missed: Malasadas from Leonards's bakery (near the Safeway) Lulu's is a great place for lunch and dinner...walk straight to the beach, take a left and walk 2 blocks over towards Queen's beach. The hula and torch lighting show at Kuhio beach shouldn't be missed! Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay...get there early! Exploring the different beaches around the island: Waimea Bay and Waimanalo Bay were favorites! Take the time to really explore Pearl Harbor... Thank you, Dolly, for all you did to help make our trip an unforgettable one!"
