  • A dream come true

"My husband and I stayed here from July 1st - August 15th while he was stationed at Pearl Harbor. It was a dream come true! The condo manager, James, is extremely helpful and Lisa is always quick to respond with any concerns/questions. The place looks exactly as pictured and a great size for two people. Would definitely come back!"

  • Great place to stay in Waikiki

"This was my first VRBO experience. Overall, there is no comparison between this unit and a similarly (or more expensive) hotel. This property is better located, bigger, and has a better view. I won't spend too much time selling the place, as I think it is well described here. Although the view is obstructed from some taller buildings (as pictured), it is a "front view"; that is to say, you can see it from the entire unit, and not just the lanai. At least in June, the sun hits the lanai most of the day, so it was a little to warm to enjoy. Everything felt very clean when we checked in, though the unit/furniture are a little on the quiet side. My only real complaint: there is a whole lot of furniture in the place-- between the table for 4, the two bar stools, and a chair, there was pretty much no floor space when the couch bed is out. We were okay with our two small kids, but 4 adults might find the place a little cramped."

  • "Dream" Condo

"My review is a little different than most; so before I start I will confirm what others have already written – Roger Lane is a very gracious and accommodating host. His condo is exactly like the pictures – only better; as I will explain. There I was, sitting in Rogers’ condo the first morning of our stay there. The windows are slid open the whole width of the unit, letting the warm trade winds softly flow thru-out the room – it’s still dark outside. I’m up early because of the time change. With Kona coffee in hand; I’m curled up on the long bench window seat; watching my beautiful Diamond Head sleep. The stars are still out and the only sound I hear are the waves flowing into shore just off to my right. I sit quietly and watch as the sun slowly awakens my Diamond Head. An overwhelming sense of peace flows over me. The magic of this island, this condo, this view is so healing for my soul. That is why I say it is so much more than the pictures. Thank-you Roger for sharing your little piece of paradise."

Things to Do in Waikiki

Diamond Head: As one of Hawaii’s most well-known landmarks, Diamond Head is a volcanic tuft cone with an exciting hiking trail, amazing coastal views and military history. The crater was formed more than 300,000 years ago during an explosive volcanic eruption. The trail was built in 1908 as part of a coastal defense system, and on the summit itself you'll see military bunkers. The top of the hike also provides a postcard-like view of the shoreline.

Waikiki Beach: Waikiki Beach is one of the most famous in the world. You won’t want to miss out on the two-mile stretch of white sandy shores meeting stunning, warm waters. Waikiki Beach is the perfect spot to stretch out that towel and relax in the warm sun with a good book or take to the water for adventures with boogie boards, surfing and swimming. It’s also a great place to try out a catamaran or outrigger canoe ride.

This group has been headlining shows at the Outrigger Main Showroom since 1969 and still wows crowds to this day. The Hawaiian band puts everything they have into each show, displaying their talent and energy every time they take the stage. Each performance is full of singing, dancing and comedy skits, showing off their hilarious personalities. SoS has released many albums and also has a regular show in Las Vegas. The SoS show in Waikiki is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

Pearl Harbor: There are a variety of exhibits, memorials, displays and museums within the ground of Pearl Harbor to honor those lost in the attacks and those who served during the second World War.

USS Arizona Memorial: Part of Pearl Harbor is the USS Arizona Memorial. This spot marks the resting place of more than 1,000 sailors and Marines killed during the attack during WWII.
