Outstanding, but a few small improvements would make it spectacular!
"Just returning from a fantastic week in Hawaii staying at the Banyan Tree Beach House. We were a group of 10 and there were so many wonderful aspects of this property - but a few things really ought to be fixed and were unexpected for a rental in this price range. The home was truly a study in contrasts: the space was huge and easily accommodated our group. You are right on the beach with a beautiful view and located between two malls you can walk to that have everything you will need (restaurants, movie theater, food store, drug store, Costco, etc.). Also, great mountain hiking in the area. The large deck was great for hanging out, eating and playing cards or just enjoying a glass of wine. The master bedroom suite is spectacular (but the shower handle fell off in the shower). The artwork, cabinets and many of the pieces of furniture were extraordinary (but some of the floors needed refinishing and the doors need to be replaced). The kitchen is fully appointed with every kind of gorgeous serving bowl and platter you can imagine (but the dishwasher wasn't mounted properly and there was an ant infestation). And cockroaches were everywhere and the house really needs to be fumigated. You are right on a busy road, which is ok, but the entry gate was broken so you had to get in and out of the car to enter or leave the property (very inconvenient). The TV had cable, but there was no remote for the Sony DVD player, which was the only way to operate it, so we couldn't look at our home movies we brought. These are small complaints and you can see, I still rate the property a 5, its just that the owners really ought to expend the resources to properly fix these things. I hate to say anything negative - we had a great time, but this lovely home deserves to be kept up and it is time to make these repairs."

"We have been coming for one month visits to Honolulu for many years. We have rented houses, apartments and occasionally stayed in hotels. For us this spot is ideal and the unit is perfect for the two of us. The views from the lanai are great and the location is quiet and residential. It is great to have morning coffee as the sun comes up over Diamond Head and to relax on the lanai as the sun sets at the end of the day. At sunset if you look back at Diamond Head the richness of the color is striking. One thing about this unit is that it does not have a dining table. There is a counter that is good for eating but as you might guess we are not at a restaurant (there are some wonderful ones around town) we dine a lot on the lanai. Be aware this is not a hotel. It is a condo that the owner rents out through the management company and the usual hotel services are not automatically provided. Everything in this unit is in good condition and the management is very responsive to any concerns. It is a fine place for two people to enjoy being together with all that Honolulu has to offer."

"Cindy was a pleasure to deal with and the apartment was everything as advised in the website - very stylish! We arrived early 9.00am, after disembarking from a cruise, and the very helpful agent allowed us to book in early. The apartment was very clean and well maintained and the decor delightful - we loved the wooden flooring, the very large shower and comfy large bed! The beach towels were also a welcome bonus.
Dishwashing & dishwasher liquid, paper towels and coffee filters were provided but we wished that salt & pepper and sugar could have been included - we left ours behind for the next guests. Hotel soap/body lotion/shampoo and coffee/tea were also provided.
Ilikai is close to Ala Moana shopping centre which is only a 10 minute walk away but as Foodland is no longer there we used The Pantry in Hobron Lane and the ABC Superette across the road for staples.
We definitely recommend this apartment as it is in a prime position in Waikiki with a wonderful view. We enjoyed our walks to and fro from Central Waikiki. Bonus entertainment was provided by the Hilton via their nightly luaus and Friday & Saturday night fireworks."

"Nous avons passé un super séjour en famille. Les photos reflètent bien la réalité.
L'appartement était propre, calme et bien équipé. Nous avons pu utiliser un des bodyboard et parfois la terrasse quand il n'y avait pas trop de vent.
Sinon on aurait apprécié un lave vaisselle.
L'appartement est bien situé, car proche de la plage. Mahalo."
