  • Beautiful condo in amazing complex!

"After reading other reviews and seeing the photos, I had pretty high expectations of this condo. All I can say is that those expectations were all met or exceeded. The unit is huge (our 6-person family was more than comfortable) and spotless, and the ground floor location with an adjacent parking spot really is ideal for anyone with younger kids. The pools and grounds are beautiful (my kids loved feeding the koi fish every morning and loved the "mini beach" pool, swimming under the bridge and the hot tubs) and everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful, especially Louie, from the property management company, who texted me soon after our flight landed and met us at the condo to give us a tour. The beach is less crowded than the other lagoons and the water really clear and warm. Snorkelling is pretty good, with sea turtles and a good variety of fish. The boogie boards and beach toys provided in the condo were a nice touch. Ko Olina in general is a great "home base" on Oahu and we easily drove all around the island with day trips to the North Shore, the Polynesian Cultural Centre ( a highlight of the trip!) and Honolulu/Waikiki. (The kids also loved the Wet n Wild water park that is only 5 minutes away.) Plus the nearby Super Target was very easy for getting groceries. (Skip the Cosco unless you are a really large group staying for a longer time.) We spent 3 nights at the Aulani next door after our week in this condo and I can honestly say that despite all the hype, the Aulani was not worth the extra expense. I would happily come back to Oahu and spend our entire vacation in this condo."

  • AMAZING!!!

"If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy what Hawai`i is all about then this is definitely the place. Carolyn was very accommodating with our last minute reservations and Joe was very welcoming when we arrived. The studio was perfect for my boyfriend and I. Very spacious, clean, and all the amenities you'll need for your stay. The property itself is just beautiful with a breathtaking ocean view. We are definitely coming back. Hopefully we'll be able to meet Carolyn next time and Joe will take us up on our dinner offer. Thank you Carolyn and Joe for opening up your home for us! We really really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back in the near future. Oh and I almost forgot. Please tell Sheila hello for us. She was a great host with lots of stories to tell. Thank you again ~ Honeygirl&Del"

  • A perfect hidden getaway

"First off our stay was great. The cottage is situated behind a gate at the end of the neighborhood and right up against the beach so if you leave the windows open you can hear the waves crashing on the sand. For us the location was perfect since we did not plan on going out to Waikiki at all. It is about 30 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes to Ko'olina. But you really don't have to even leave the cottage to enjoy the beach because it is right there and they have everything you will need. Snorkels, boards, BBQs and plenty of beach. The week we went the waves were pretty choppy so we didn't let our 3 y/o daughter go into the water but she seemed to enjoy playing on the sand or running into the surf most of the time. I don't know if the waves are like that all year round but families should be aware it can be a choppy. With that said, I saw local children swimming, body boarding and simply relaxing on tubes on the rough water. As for the place, it was charming. Plenty of ceiling fans to keep you cool with A/Cs in the bedrooms. We didn't use them because the fans were enough to keep us cool. The kitchen and living area had a very open floor plan so you can dine, cook and lounge around together. And if your family gets on your nerves you can walk outside and enjoy the beach. When outside the view is amazing. There are plenty of coconut trees that offer shade. One thing to know about the beach is that the cottage and adjacent property have a retaining wall (4-5 feet) to prevent erosion so you either need to climb down to the beach or hop over the side. What that does though is create a nice even beach for you and the family to enjoy. It was great trip and won't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Pam!"

  • Wonderful!

"This villa was beautiful! We brought our 3 adult children ages 18 to 23 years. Everyone loved it. The living room is large and comfortable. We ate all of our breakfasts and lunches in the condo. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing and eating our meals. Groceries were easy to get at a supermarket a short drive away. There is a small market within walking distance if we ran out of anything. The view was magnificent! We could have sat out on the lanai all day. The beach and pools were also beautiful. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Susie answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this property. As others have said, Monkey Pod restaurant was great and within walking distance. We ate there 3 times. We did a tour of Pearl Harbor, the USS Missouri, and Punchbowl Cemetery. We climbed Diamond Head and hiked to Manoa Falls, the waterfall seen in Jurassic Park and on Lost. We recommend all those activities. I can't say enough good things."
