  • Review on Kama'iki cottage

"Wonderful. experience! The property was well located, 5 minutes from the beach.Well equipped, beds were clean and comfortable. It was hot,so we missed having the AC,but Sissy the manager provided us with extra fans.Sissy was just a phone call away ,she was quick to respond to our requests. She had a welcome gift for us as well a farewell gift. The backyard has a grill too.I strongly recommend the vacation rental for small family!"

  • The Very Spirit of Aloha

"I recently had the pleasure of staying here with my family (old and new!) for a week in the Island Hideaway II. Everything was pristine, from the clean floors and kitchen, to the clean comfortable beds. The beach truly is less than a minute's walk away, you can see it clearly from your doorstep. The particular beach may not be the best for certain activities such as snorkeling and surfing due to lots of coral and low surf, but it is still a beautiful beach with fun swimming, the equipment they allow you to borrow can be put to great use nearby! A perfect beach to relax on with a drink and watch the sunset, and the hundreds of awesome sand crabs scurrying about during high tide especially! David and Ralena were the most welcoming of hosts, and truly made us feel a part of their Ohana. During our stay there were 2 hurricane/tropical storm warnings, during which Ralena brought us candles, flashlights, and batteries as well as making sure we were well-prepared. The storms fizzled out but the genuine concern was much appreciated! They also allowed my day's fantastic wedding to occur on the beachfront, even going as far as to build them an altar and for Ralena to do a special hula dance in their honor. This is not a resort, and is not an experience where you will have your hand held the entire way, nor should it be! This is a beautiful, serene retreat to enjoy the island as the locals do, with respect and admiration for the local wildlife and environment. Could not praise these hosts and/or this location enough, 100% satisfaction :)!"

  • Home Away from Home

"We just returned from Hawaii and this was our first experience with renting a private home. I would go back in a moment! Cheryl and her family are right next door and made us feel right at home. They were also happy to provide recommendations for shopping, surfing lessons, a great luau and almost anything else we asked about. If you want a home base from which to do day trips and lots of room for the kids (and adults) to relax after a busy day - this is it. A great backyard and immaculate house with all the amenities is what you will find at Hale I Ke Kai. Highly recommended. We will be back."

  • Ever lasting memories for the kiddies!!!

"Aloha Dolly & Dave... We were a family group....ranging in ages from 2 to 65 plus years of age. We stayed at and occupied the bigger property(both Ewa & Hula Moon). Even with all of us in the house....there was plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing, lounge around & relax, or catch up on some reading on one of many lawn chairs. As a parent it gives me great joy seeing my kiddies playing with their cousins at the back of the it chasing each other around with water balloons/water guns or playing in the sand/ocean. Hopefully these new memories they've created will last them a lifetime. Even though this is my first time in Oahu, I think the property is pretty's close to everything. It takes about 30 minutes to get to downtown Honolulu. But beware and watch out, try not to get stuck in rush hour!!!! lol It happened to us when we were coming back from Downtown Honolulu...traffic was barely crawling, it was as bad as back home(Vancouver - BC, Canada), but mind you I think that's the same with everywhere in any big city around the world. Mahalo Dolly & Dave....Dave, it was a pleasure meeting you in person. I admire and envy how youthful you look for your age......I guess all that yard work and surfing keeps you very fit and looking young, maybe I should take up surfing eh? ^_^ Everyone in our group can't wait to come back!!! Cheers, Jim"
