Recent Ewa Beach property reviews

  • Home away from home in Paradise

"Where do we begin! We picked this particular hoem because we just needed 2 room, close to the beach, where we could relax! We made the best choice! Flew in from Texas on an 8hr flight. When we pulled up to the home, the wind was blowing and there was delightful Hawaiian music playing from inside. It felt like we walked into our home. Every day we spent lounging on the beach or BBQing with family in the back! Every night we thoroughly enjoyed listening to the waves crash on the beach and the cool breeze flowing through the home as we slept. Since we had our 3 year old with us we often took turns sleeping in both beds and they were so comfortable! We had the amazing opportunity to meet Sissy and her husband whom take care of the property and I have to say they took us in like family. We had everything we possibly needed to enjoy 2 weeks in paradise, kitchen came stocked (they had a blender and rice cooker). My husband loved having boogie boards and a cooler for us to use! Made our time on the beach even more exciting! I love the location because in Ewa we were only a short drive away from Waikiki, North Shore and the windward side of the island, yet we didn't have the headache of tons of delayed traffic. On Friday evening we sat on the beach and watched the fireworks! Cant thank Darla enough, she is always able to make sure everything is ready for your stay from start to finish! They have such an amazing way of making you feel like you are not only there to enjoy your vacation but make you feel like a part of their Ohana too! I can't say enough about this home! We hated leaving and can't wait to plan our trip back!"

  • Peaceful Stay on Ewa Beach

"The view was amazing, photos accurately depict the property. Peaceful setting, away from crowds, responsive and considerate owner. Well worth the price for a house on the beach with stores close by. House was stocked well: coffee, sugar, some seasonings, paper goods, and cookware/utensils, wifi was great. Nice gas grill too we used most of the week. Some things to consider: no A/C and beds slightly uncomfortable and noisy (plastic liner). Beach area is very nice but swimming/snorkling area is not huge - about 15 x 30 ft (can see it in the picture) but there are plenty of beaches on the island if you want to snorkel more! Neighborhood is older, people/neighbors were friendly - some people use the swimming area in front of the house. We bought fishing poles from Ewa Beach Buy & Sell (5 min away and Bill set us up with everything needed) and returned them at the end of the week for a partial buy back. We fished around the swimming area (used shrimp) and caught all types of fish including a couple big enough to eat. Also, the Waipahu Festival Market is excellent place to get fresh fish and produce, about 15 min away. Rental car is necessary, Waikiki is about 40 min drive with traffic. Overall, very good experience and would recommend and stay again!"

  • Relax in a roomy, clean, ocean front home!

"Everything we could have hoped for: clean, roomy, fully equipped kitchen, quiet (no traffic at all!), shaded porch, grass yard and the beach right beyond the retaining wall. The owner was easy to communicate with and gave detailed directions and instructions about the property. The location makes it easy to head to Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, the west shore or over the island to the north shore in a short time. Grocery store and other conveniences close by. Loved the decor too. The house is a reflection of Hawaii in the 50's and 60's with great photos and memorabilia. There's even a piano and uke if you're musical. Loved sitting on the beachside deck and watching the water during the day and the lights of Honolulu at night. An endangered monk seal visited the beach on a few occasions, fishermen cast their nets nearby and kayakers and stand up boarders plied the waters. A very relaxing stay indeed!"

  • Perfect!!!

"I'm not sure how to describe this cottage except to say it was perfect! We stayed with my son, his wife, and my amazing one year old grandson. This little cottage suited the five of us nicely. The white picket fence was pretty and very handy in containing our little maniac and he was able to run around the grass all day without a single sticker burr. We were very lucky to be the first to stay after Pam and her husband had completely remodeled! The kitchen is beautiful with all new stainless top-of-the-line appliances and the floors and counter tops are all gorgeous! The airconditioning in the bedrooms were the finishing touch for us. A cool place to put the baby (and me) down for a nap was sweet! We walked straight through to the spacious patio and our own private amazing white sand beach! We kept posting pics on facebook and all our friends were amazed and wanted the info! All the reviews are accurate, if understated. I’ve been to Hawaii four times in two years and this was the absolute best!!! Thank you, Pam! We’ll be back!"
