"My husband and myself recently made a visit to Oahu. We found this great home on Vrbo. It was everything I had wished for. It so matched the photo gallery I had seen. And the back yard was spectacular. So comfy. It was perfect for relaxing and watching the ocean waves and surfer's. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had not one problem. We were very close to major highway's so it was easy to get around and do some day drive's. A nice quiet beach and the neighbor's were very friendly. I would recommend this house for a small family or a couple who just want's to get away and relax. I waited 38 yrs. for my Hawaii vacation and we could not have picked a better spot. Now I can't wait to go back."Guest: Happy Las Vegas renter's Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 5, 2014View listing
"When we first arrived, we were a little concerned about the neighbourhood... it seemed sketchy at first but its a working class neighbourhood, that's all. There are also 2 homes on the lot, a front house on the street and then this house in the back on the ocean. The house was clean and bright and open. Would be nice if it was all tile inside instead of the mix of tile/carpeting. There were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 kids. Ample room for everyone. No AC but we found we didn't really need it with the ceiling fans and the ocean breeze. The beach isn't all that great for swimming - lots of rock and coral - wear water shoes. On certain days, there is also some debris/garbage in the ocean off Ewa - I think it comes in from Pearl Harbour area which is nearby. Overall, it's fine. You can also drive to much nicer beaches on the North Shore or NE of Honolulu (Waimanalo is Gorgeous!). You are within walking distance of Long's Drugs and various other neighbourhood shops/restaurants/stores. Also a post office nearby. Good yard for the kids to play in and lots of stuff in the backyard building (sun deck on top of this building) for the kids to use/play with. Loved the outdoor shower too! We used the BBQ most nights - its a Weber and uses briquettes. Larry the owner was good to deal with. He met us at the house and gave us some tips for things to see and do during our stay. There were also leftover shampoo/conditioner/sun screen, etc from previous guests so if you don't have any or run out - check the bathrooms. Loved staying in Ewa vs. Honolulu as its way less busy and is more of an authentic Hawaiian experience vs. tourist trap Honolulu. This house is 35 mins from Honolulu on the H1 freeway in light traffic. About an hour to the North Shore and beautiful Waimanalo Beach NE of Honolulu. This is one of the nicer homes on this stretch of Ewa Beach - you can't go wrong!"Guest: Craiger Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 15, 2014View listing
"What a wonderful site. we enjoyed the property immensely. And the owner is just a real treat to know. A wonderful and thoughtful lady. In the water everyday, one son learned to surf there, and nearby facilities are very good, especially for children. Highly recommend."Guest: Jim Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: June 9, 2014View listing
"Wow is all I can say about this beautiful vacation home. Although the neighbohood seemed kinda intimidating, once inside the gate, we found a beautiful home isolated from the entire neighborhood. House is fully equipped with all the comforts of home to include outdoor beach toys such as kayaks and boogie boards of which my grandkids thoroughly enjoyed. The property manager was available for any problems 24/7 and quickly addressed any issues or concerns. Would we go back again? Most definitely will. We plan on making this an annual vacation to Hawaii and if property is available we plan on renting this beautiful home again. Thank you so much for a memorable vacation in your beautiful home."Guest: Tina Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 2, 2014View listing
