  • Better than the description

"Our family stayed at Leonor's condo for 9 days. Our kids are 15, 16, 17, & 19yrs old. The pictures posted are accurate, 5 beds and a pull out couch. Extremely clean, nicely decorated and roomy. We really felt at home as everything you would need is available for use including: beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, coolers, beach chairs, beach buckets/shovels etc. Also, a portable crib in the master bdrm closet. Kitchen is fully equipped and we did cook on the gas grill outside. This is located in a gated community. Basically a small village approximately 2 miles long with 4 incredible man made lagoons, 3 hotels (one being a disney resort) a small shopping plaza, a preschool, an incredible golf course, a marina and a small cluster of condos located in a small area on either side of the street. Traffic is minimal, mostly golf carts coming and going to and from the lagoons. The condo is 1.4miles to the marina and the fourth lagoon. There is a reasonably priced super Walmart in a shopping plaza within a short drive that we bought our groceries at. We ate at an outback steakhouse which was good, close to the plaza. Every place we went I highly recommend: Polynesian cultural center luau. Goes from 12pm to around 9pm. Food and entertainment well worth the price. Hanauma bay for snorkeling. costs about $7.50pp. A must if you like to snorkel but get there early because parking is tough. The North shore, very popular with the locals. Big waves for boogie boarding. Bellow's beach. An incredibly clean, quiet military beach open to the public on Sat. & Sun. If the sign says "public beach closed", ignore it and just proceed to the beach. If you follow it to the end you will come to the military guards. just park before you get there. This is the beach President Obama visits. Clear aqua water and powder white sand. Snorkel/dolphin excursion at the marina. Loved every minute of it and we were given lunch at the end. Every morning we walked to the lagoon to watch the sunrise then back at the end of the day for the sunset. It was really hard getting back on the plane to leave. Leonor is wonderful, easy to reach and very trustworthy. I highly recommend this vacation spot. Your honestly not going to find anything this nice with its beautiful, quiet location anywhere else for the price. If busy is what you like than you can always drive to Waikiki, it's like a beautiful NYC. But I would not recommend staying there!"

  • wow. just...wow.

"have been to hawaii many times, but this time went with my two kids and mother-in-law, so we needed some space to spread out. what an incredibly gorgeous spot, and incredibly comfortable home-away-from-home.... waking up in the morning, sitting on the lanai with a glass of ice-cold water in my hand, the warm sun rising on my back, and my eyes blissfully glued to the deep, deep blue of the hawiian pacific.... if there's a heaven, it couldn't be much better than that. the kids adored the pools, especially those exceptional lounge chairs that are partially submerged in the shallow water, and the lagoon was insanely clear and calm and we saw friendly fish and a green sea turtle munching away at the coral and even a SEA LION who swam into the lagoon, checked out all the dorky humans, laughed at us, and then went on his way. advice: skip eating at the disney resort and the marriott hotel to the north; settle yourself at longboard's, at the marriott time share, to the south, as it has the most awesome view. the pool bar at the beach villas, though, will remain a favorite, and the view of the sunset from a palapa will soothe the savage breast. a divine time, truly. thanks. (but don't lose those key cards, peeps!)"

  • A Place of Relaxation on a Quiet Beach

"This is our second year in a row staying at Robin and Daniel's beautiful Villa at Ko Olina. We initially chose this villa because of the advertised view and the location in west Oahu, an area we were not familiar with. Our past stays were all in Waikiki. This villa will not disappoint. The views from the 15th floor lanai are magnificent, especially at sunset! The villa is equipped with all the conveniences of home and is spacious enough for the four of us. The kitchen is a chef's delight, with high end appliances and plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. In addition, if you like to barbecue, there are four gas grills located down by the pools. We used them extensively during our trips. Speaking of the pools, there are numerous pools and hot tubs on the property and there is even a 'quiet pool' for adults. We used all the pools and didn't really find much noise at any of them. The staff at the Beach Villas at Ko Olina are very helpful and attentive. The villa is equipped with televisions in the living room and bedrooms, the living room having full HD capability. Access is provided via a private, key carded elevator. We felt most safe and secure during our stay. The Ko Olina area is more like the Hawaii we remember--quiet, relaxed atmosphere abounds. There are eating places within short walking distance, we particularly enjoyed eating at the local pizza restaurant and the Monkey Pod. There is also an ABC store in the same area. We would not recommend attempting to stay here without a car. We find having a rental car gives us the opportunity to take in some of the shopping in Kapolei and also affords us the capability to drive to Waikiki for the Friday night fireworks show or some more expansive shopping. All in all, Robin and Daniel are wonderful hosts and we find the reservation and check in/out process very easy."

  • Dream vacation

"Wish I had time to leave a longer review, but this was a great vacation, topped by amazing accommodation. Daniel was fast and curious when we made the booking and answered all our questions. Our flight was delayed, and we didn't land till after 1am local time. I called Blayne at our layover, and he made sure our rental car would be there, and met at at almost 3am to let us in, and show us around. Can't get that sort of treatment at a 5 star hotel. Our kids loved the Lagoon, and although we toured the island some, everyone was very happy to stay at the resort, swim in the pools, and spend the day on the beach. The resort staff were also great. No issues with security as noted in some other reviews. The pictures don't do the accommodation or the resort any justice. You have to see it to believe it. Thanks again Daniel - we're already planning our trip back!"
