  • Perfect retreat in Paradise

"We had an incredibly week staying at Maili Cove which was perfect for our needs. Don the owner is on site and was quick to respond to any of our needs and even took the time to talk to us about Oahu which was a lovely personal touch. We covered every inch of the island but found that the west coast was the best so we made an excellent choice with the apartment and we have never seen so many perfect sunsets. The apartment looked better than pictured and to have the door open to the lanai (screen in situ to keep bugs out) and hear the crashing waves serenade you to sleep was amazing. Maili Cove is a slice of paradise away from all the madness of Honolulu and is a perfect retreat with an exceptional host. I would have no hesitation in recommending this condo."

  • Our piece of paradise

"I have delayed writing a review because I wanted to keep this place a secret. I want to be able to come back when ever we want and not compete with others. We were steps away from the private beach (world class puplic beaches on either side), best sunsets (the deck faces west). We watched whales swim past and the surfers were right off shore if the surf was up. We enjoyed the local restaurants. The Spicy House was just a block away and had great Thia food and the waiter was helpful and very welcoming. The Coquitco is a Puerto Rican restaurant just north on Farrinton Highway. The west side of the island has more of a "local atmosphere". If you want to get away from tourist traps, this is the place for you. There are some great areas for snorkeling and surfing. Take a walk at the end of Farrington highway to see the seals. The only reasons I did not give it 5 stars is because it is hard to find in the dark (if you get in late like we did), the Internet was sketchy unless you bring a laptop to plug in. I had to go down to the main patio to use my IPad. The first Friday we were there, the next door neighbors were having a found raiser and the music and partying was going on till very late. There was a lot of early traffic noise but ocean waves cancelled that out. The owners were there for most of our stay and were very helpful and kind. We spent a lot of time traveling around the island and it always felt like home when we got back to "our place". We just loved it. We will be back! Thank you Patty and Mary"

  • Alaska & Kansas City travelers.

"My daughter & I enjoyed another wonderful vacation at Maili Cove. We love the quiet peaceful area. The condo is great and the view is outstanding. This is our 3rd time staying at Maili Cove. The owner is always helpful if we have a question or concerns. We can go sightseeing or just enjoy the view from the condo. We look forward to our yearly trip to Maili Cove to visit and spending time in the ocean & at the pool"

  • Beautiful Mountain Views

"Our family of 11 stayed for 9 days. We had a great experience. The normal tourist spots are a little far from the house (North Shore, Pearl Harbor, etc) and traffic can be difficult, but with a little planning day trips are manageable. The beach is rocky and probably not suitable for children, but there is a very nice sandy beach just north of the house (within walking distance). I would recommend the house for families that do not need all the bedrooms together; there are two separate houses, each has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. You also definitely need a car if you stay at this house. Pros: - Beautiful views of the mountains and ocean - Sunsets are amazing - House was clean and comfortable - Outdoor space is very nice - Security doors and gates - Plenty of Parking - Grocery & drug store near by - Plenty of kitchenware, eating utensils, etc - Feels secluded, even though there are neighbors near - Nice beach towels are provided - No stairs to climb (just single step up when entering the house) Cons: - You cannot use the washer/dryer unless you turn off the air conditioning in the guest house - The guest house gets very warm around mid-day, even with the air conditioning on. - The beach is rocky and resulted in several minor injuries during our stay. - Proximity to sites & tourist locations - Miscommunications with the management team regarding check in and check out times"
