  • Great holiday

"We recently spent a long weekend in the company of family and friends and had a wonderful time. We have spent similar holidays in Europe several times and this was equal to or better than any of them. We love to cook and we're delighted to find the kitchen so well equipped-- even a rice maker. The views from the wrap around porch were terriffic. Close to beaches, golfing and fishing."

  • Wow! Right on the beach

"What a great, relaxing place to get away for vacation. (and the snow) Finding the unit was a little tricky, but when we got in the condo & opened the curtains, it was just a magnificent view of perhaps the most beautiful beach ever. Condo had everything we needed, and it was literally 3 steps to the beach as advertised."

  • Shangri-La in Makaha

"My husband and I stayed in this wonderful condo unit for over a month. Lucky us! Pam was a lovely person to deal with; kind, generous and friendly. The condo was outfitted extremely well with quality items and beautiful things. I would say it is the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. The highlight was the the amazing view from the lanai. We spent hours out there. We watched the absolutely gorgeous sunsets almost every night and must have taken 300 photos. We had breakfast out there every morning. From the lanai we also saw dolphins, large sea turtles and humpback whales. The beach in front is a hidden gem and is never, ever crowded. We have stayed on the Waianae Coast several times over the last 38 years and love the area because it is on the leeward side which means sunny and dry. We often drove a short distance to Pokai Beach where the water is very calm for swimming. There is an interesting heiau there to explore, too. Yokohama Beach at the end of the road is wild and beautiful and the hike to see the albatross reserve at Kaena Point is well worth it. We loved the Sat. morning market behind Long's Drugstore where fresh organic veggies among other things could be purchased. We highly recommend Kahumana Rest.on an organic farm on Lualualei Homestead Rd. We can't say enough about the wonderful time we had there. Mahalo, Pam!!"

  • Winter Escape

"We spent a wonderful 6 week vacation here, in February and March of 2015. The unit feels really spacious and it worked very well for us. The views of the mountain as well as the beach and ocean were wonderful. I really appreciated the excellent and reliable internet connection. I am semi retired but still do a fair bit of work on my computer, so it was great to keep this going and be able to stay in touch with my colleagues in the UK and Canada, in a couple of hours before sunrise each day. We both enjoy snorkelling, and about half the days we were there the ocean was calm and clear enough for us to have some great snorkelling seeing fish and turtles, particularly at the south end of the beach around the rocks at the base of Mauna Lahi Lahi. When the sea was to rough for snorkelling, it was still nice to sit and read on the beach, it was great fun to see the surfers and paddle-boarders right off the shore and we particularly enjoyed watching the local kids, who arrived after school, having so much fun along the edge with their boogie boards. We had, what for us was an added bonus of on three separate days, a Monk Seal choosing to spend the day on the beach. We didn’t feel the need to venture away from Waianae and the beach too often: we found that, apart from a few trips to Safeway in Kapolei, the Waianae Store, could supply most of what we needed and the folks there are so friendly, and their malasadas fantastic. We did do the hikes into Kaena Point from both directions and were rewarded with seeing more monk seals on the beach, whales breaching off the north shore walk and then albatrosses and their chicks nesting at the point."
