  • Superb unit

"We were traveling 2 adults and 3 children visiting Hawaii where my brother and his family lives. The unit is spacious and could easily accommodate us even when my parents visited us. Everything is well kept, and the couple of things that did not work upon our arrival were fixed during our stay. The lanai is great. We ate most of our meals there. Even though the main pool by the entrance to Coconut Plantation was out for maintenance most of our stay the pool next to the unit was not crowded, and it was great for the kids. The unit is only around 10-15 minutes from the Ko Olina lagoons. Lagoon 2 offers good snorkeling which was great, and the kids could find various things for playing on the beach and the water in the garage. The owner, is very responsive in answering any questions or concerns we had prior to and during our stay, and you really feel in god hands. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend the unit to anyone."

  • Comfortable get away

"If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this home will more than meet your expectations. The home was as described in the overview, and kept in very good condition. The cleaning staff did an excellent job in preparing the home for our stay. The furniture and appliances are in very good condition, and the beds were most comfortable. We did not need to purchase any supplies for the house, and did find the local food market easy to get to and not terribly expensive, even for Hawaii. Sinclair (owner) and Lia (caretaker) were most responsive to any request we had, both by e-mail and once we arrived, in person. Lia is most friendly, and is a terrific resource for navigating around the island. There is a mango tree outside, and Lia would often bring us mango's that had just fallen from the tree. They made for good eating! We stayed during a week where the temperature never went below 90, but as others have indicated, the ceiling and attic fans, combined with the cool ocean breezes, made the stay most comfortable. We rented a car for travel to other parts of the Island (Waikiki, North shore, Pearl Harbor), but did not need it for any of the beaches near the house. There were three beautiful beaches within walking distance from the house, each empty almost all of the time. We did see turtles on two different occasions at the cove, and many different species of fish while snorkeling at the same location. One highlight of the trip was seeing a pod of spinner dolphins passing by the house during one early morning breakfast. We did make some day trips, (Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, Polynesian cultural center), but really preferred the comfort away from these busy areas. We were a little surprised with the home diversity in the neighborhood, but found the neighbors most welcoming to us. Some of the activities we did were Stand Up Paddling, surfing (with Danny Boro), a dolphin excursion, Paradise Cove Luau, Swap meet (giant flea market near Pearl Harbor with tremendous savings and good quality items), and a visit to Pearl Harbor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to anyone who has the desire to RELAX."

  • Very nice. Quiet area. Everything we needed

"Very nice place to stay. We had 5 people in the 3 bedroom villa and there was plenty of room for everyone. The villa was stocked with what we needed. I'm glad we stayed in Ko Olina - it was a nice, quiet area. When we went to Waikiki and Honolulu, it was very busy and crowded and that is not what we were looking for in our stay in Hawaii. We did have to drive to the lagoons but parking was always available so that was not a problem. It is also a nice area to walk in the morning. I would recommend this villa and the Ko Olina area if you are looking for a place to stay without all the crowds and traffic. We rented a car and did sight seeing every day and it was nice to come back to this villa at the end of the day. If you're planning on just staying in Ko Olina and the beaches there, you should consider renting a golf cart for your stay to get around the resort."

  • Exceptional Vacation Getaway

"This property is absolutely beautiful with the most stunning views of the shore and ocean. We just spent a week here and loved it. There is everything available here that one would want in a home right on the beach. If there is something needed that is not available one only needs to ask and efforts are made to get it. One evening we decided to make soup and needed a large pot. We asked and the caretaker, Kelly, brought us a large pot. the owner's brother, Al, was very helpful and made several suggestions about what to see and where to go that were very useful. This property is a little away from the hustle and bustle of what we usually experience in Oahu, but we were looking for a laid back peaceful location with a private beach. It was perfect for us. There are also several beaches in the area that are very accessible and uncrowded. The snorkeling was great. We only had to walk across the lawn to the beach and we were there. The area just out in front of the house was populated with boatloads of other tourist snorkeling, but they had to get there by boat. :) We would definitely consider staying here again is we return to the area. Thanks Joe and Carolyn for a great vacation!"
