  • A Great Place to Stay

"We were very happy with our choice. The house is just as you see. Two bedrooms, one bath, living room and kitchen. Everything you need for your vacation is there. It is just a short walk to the beach, a short drive to the grocery store and a nice quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and the bbq is just outside in the backyard. We made good use out of it. The washer and dryer are a big plus. Less to pack and less to carry through the airport. We did a lot of sightseeing while we were there and the location is not too far away from anything. It took about 30 minutes to get to Honolulu and 30 minutes to get to the North Shore. It is a great location if you are planning to travel around the island. Working with Darla and Laurie was very easy. I had no problem getting questions answered or any help that I needed. We meet them both out on the beach and they are very friendly people. They made sure we had everything we needed. The fresh fruit tray that welcomed us was wonderful!! The Pie they delivered to us was amazing!! This is a great family/child friendly location. We traveled with a 3 year old and he loved staying at the "beach house". We spent several late evenings playing on the beach with him. If you are looking for a quiet, clean house close to the beach, this is it. If I make it back to Oahu, I will definitely be looking them up again. Mahalo!!"

  • A perfect hidden getaway

"First off our stay was great. The cottage is situated behind a gate at the end of the neighborhood and right up against the beach so if you leave the windows open you can hear the waves crashing on the sand. For us the location was perfect since we did not plan on going out to Waikiki at all. It is about 30 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes to Ko'olina. But you really don't have to even leave the cottage to enjoy the beach because it is right there and they have everything you will need. Snorkels, boards, BBQs and plenty of beach. The week we went the waves were pretty choppy so we didn't let our 3 y/o daughter go into the water but she seemed to enjoy playing on the sand or running into the surf most of the time. I don't know if the waves are like that all year round but families should be aware it can be a choppy. With that said, I saw local children swimming, body boarding and simply relaxing on tubes on the rough water. As for the place, it was charming. Plenty of ceiling fans to keep you cool with A/Cs in the bedrooms. We didn't use them because the fans were enough to keep us cool. The kitchen and living area had a very open floor plan so you can dine, cook and lounge around together. And if your family gets on your nerves you can walk outside and enjoy the beach. When outside the view is amazing. There are plenty of coconut trees that offer shade. One thing to know about the beach is that the cottage and adjacent property have a retaining wall (4-5 feet) to prevent erosion so you either need to climb down to the beach or hop over the side. What that does though is create a nice even beach for you and the family to enjoy. It was great trip and won't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Pam!"

  • beautiful view

"The apartment lays on a unique location, overviewing 180 degrees of the coast. It stays almost on the sea, making the sound of the waves the soundtrack of your vacation. It is very well equipped and makes you feel like at home, because the owner provides more than what you usually can find in a rental home. Unfortunately, the apartment is old and needs improvements, especially in the bathroom which is very old. We found a water leakage in the bath which the owner said they discovered right before our arrival and that would have be fixed right after our departure. The doors too are very old. The elevator was out of order for maintenance, and the works delayed many weeks respect to the original schedule. The results was elevator unusable for a long period. In our week we found technicians working only for few hours. But that is responsibility of property management, not the apartment owner. Last notice, very often previous guests leave foods in the fridge which owners do not remove, probably thinking that would be appreciated by entering guests. We have taken that as a courtesy, but in our opinion the fridge should be better empty and cleaned for entering guests, since not all persons have same tastes."

  • A very nice place

"I was looking for a three bedroom to share with a diverse group of ages, ranging from 10 to 83, as my brother was retiring from the Navy at Pearl Harbor, and a group of us traveled to meet up to celebrate. The house was as nice as the pictures - very clean, very well taken care of - the beach is a short walk away, and was quiet each time we went, with beautiful views and gentle waves - the house was large enough that we all had our own space, and we made good use of the kitchen and the large porch. I'd only note that staying at Ewa Beach means you'll do plenty of driving - and dining options outside of fast food are few and far between - beyond that, the area is quiet and residential, there was a fine grocery a short drive away, and it worked perfectly for our particular needs."
