  • Home Away from Home

"We just returned from Hawaii and this was our first experience with renting a private home. I would go back in a moment! Cheryl and her family are right next door and made us feel right at home. They were also happy to provide recommendations for shopping, surfing lessons, a great luau and almost anything else we asked about. If you want a home base from which to do day trips and lots of room for the kids (and adults) to relax after a busy day - this is it. A great backyard and immaculate house with all the amenities is what you will find at Hale I Ke Kai. Highly recommended. We will be back."

  • PERFECT!

"Great place to stay with a large group. We were 11 in total, 2 couples and 7 teenagers/young adults and we had lots of room in this 1400 sq foot home. Beautiful oceanview from the lanai. We really enjoyed coming back to this haven after sight seeing around the island or after playing in the water at Aki's Cove and Yokohama Beach. We'd definitely recommend to those who wish to be out of the hustle and bustle of city life."

  • Fabulous!

"We selected Richard & Celeste's condo as the photos on VRBO were beautiful! After speaking with them, we booked our trip and thoroughly enjoyed our time in their remodeled condo! Both Richard & Celeste were extremely friendly and made the booking easy. When we arrived, the unit was very clean and tastefully furnished, inside and out. The unit has a stunning few of the ocean and beaches on either side of the complex. The kitchen has nice plates, glasses, cutlery, as well as great pots & pans. No air conditioning was needed as the condo has very nice air flow. In fact, we seldom used the living room ceiling fan. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed, and a perfectly situated fan mounted on the wall, for air flow at night when needed. The grounds and common areas at the Makaha Shores complex are very well maintained, and the pool area is quiet and private. Makaha Beach is truly amazing, as written up in the February 2015 National Geographic article, it is a place to experience the true Hawaii. After visiting Makaha Shores, we don't want to vacation anywhere else, and, after staying in Richard & Celeste's unit, we don't want to stay in any other unit but theirs'. A huge thank you to Richard & Celeste for making our holiday so special! We are already looking forward to staying in your condo April 2016."

  • Wonderful time in the 11th Floor Penthouse

"Our family had a wonderful time, at the villa, in Ko Olina. It was our first time on this particular island and it delivered on all fronts. We have traditionally stayed in resort type hotels, so this was our first experience in a condo villa. It was outstanding, and "as advertised." High end all the way. The views, the grounds, the pools and the beach access were fabulous. The comfort and freedom provided for a wonderful family getaway. We will definitely re-book this villa again!"
