  • Comfort and Home away from Home

"This was the most relaxing and comfortable stay we have had in a while. Beds are amazingly comfortable with the top of the line linens. So homey and cozy! Loved the layout of the house. Great back yard and so private! We will be back."

  • Outstanding Rental (dear VRBO: please use THIS VERSION)

"Our family of 10 (age range: 13-73) greatly enjoyed our 6-night stay in this home. Photos cannot adequately convey the airy, open feel of this place, and the light! So many windows yet private orientation, especially the living room, wrap around deck, and upstairs bedroom. The expansive views of the valley and mountain ridges views and night sky seduced us all. Plenty of seating and deck furniture. At night, a deeply peaceful quiet descends after the last lovely light leaves those mountains--just the crickets singing. This large home has lots of glass so is luminously beautiful inside, with just enough “rustic” but the luxury and modernity of an upscale hotel. Well-done interior lighting and ceiling fans. Every corner was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. Nicely, comfortably furnished, fully equipped, and well-organized. The kitchen and dining areas are set up to accommodate 10+ and we enjoyed many memorable meals, games, movies, and conversations, in all combinations of participation. You can easily congregate or separate into smaller groups in this home of intelligent design. All the bedrooms were lovely retreats, and 2 of 4 have en suite full baths. The bedding was deliciously comfortable with quality linens and ample blankets. The bathrooms (again, spotless) have every need covered, good water pressure and heat, and the towels were thick and soft. If you really like to do laundry on vacation, there’s a lovely w/d set, and even laundry detergent provided. A/C units all worked quietly and efficiently. Loads of parking. The road from Hwy 21 is “dirt” but well-maintained and graded. You are a quick 30 minutes from I84. We had business in Boise 2 of the 5 days, no problem at all. Meanwhile, pick your season: you can hike, fish, hunt, play in the snow, and so on right out the back door of this home. We left very reluctantly. Thank you, many times over, to the owners and the property managers. This was such an important time for us, and this home was nothing short of sheer blessing and delight. We’ll never forget it. The sun rising and setting, the full "super moon," the cool air, the peacefulness."

  • Nice secluded cabin

"The cabin is in a beautiful location, offering peaceful seclusion. We spent a very special 2 weeks in this very comfortable place. There were lots of trails just behind the cabin that we tried and afterwards enjoyed a welcoming soak in the enormous hot tub. It was also lovely to sit around the fire pit and look at the stars, the night sky was especially clear due to the absence of light pollution. We were very fortunate to have a good view of the recent Red Luna eclipse. Rod the owner was especially welcoming & was just at the end of the phone when we needed him. He was able to give us lots of information about the area & places we could visit, very kindly loaned us fishing poles, and treated us to tastes of wild salmon & elk, He is a real treasure. The cabin was clean, comfortable & cosy and central to Boise, Garden valley, Cascade & Idaho city. we would very very much like to return one day."

  • Easy Living in Boise

"My wife and I spent five days at this wonderful vacation home in Boise, sharing it with seven other family members at night and a handful more around the pool during the daytime hours. Her family had a reunion in town. Our relatives had three houses to gather at during the week, and this became the default choice for everyone after a couple of hours in the gorgeous pool. It's a wonderful house for civilized get togethers--not a place for rowdy parties because of the residential neighborhood in which it is situated. We were an active but quiet group that immensely enjoyed the wonderful back yard, sparkling pool, and grill with table and chairs outside. The interior of the house is light and airy…actually even nicer than the photographs indicate. The master suite with bathroom is a dream, but the other rooms are also large and comfortable as well. Renters will find every conceivable convenience in and around the house…wonderful appliances, pool toys, wifi, electronics, numerous towels, luxurious sheets, even a plate of chocolates waiting for us upon arrival. Furthermore, it is a short drive into downtown Boise with its bustling downtown and interesting Basque neighborhood, 45 minutes by car to Bogus Basin for skiing in the winder or wonderful hiking through the pines in the summer, and a short walk to a large park. A well-stocked supermarket and drugstores are less than a mile away. Rather than feeling like tourists, we felt like some of the many proud and happy Boise residents who are lucky enough to live in this progressive and bike-friendly city. I truly feel that this house, more than anything else, made this reunion one of our very best ever."
