"We selected this home for its location (wilderness). Looking at the pictures and the elk sold it for us. And this was NO disappointment! We not only saw elk twice each day, morning and night, we also saw mule deer, antelope and a pair of red tail hawks! The cabin was very comfortable for the seven of us. We enjoy spending time together with board games, movies and just talking to each other. This place was PERFECT! Anyone who likes sightseeing would truly appreciate this area! Every direction is a work of art! We also appreciated the close proximately to the city and the airport. We recommend to anyone who loves nature to book this cabin! Thank you Tom and Joan for sharing this gem!"

"The home was beautifully decorated and looked exactly like the photos. The kitchen was well equipped for any meal preparation. There was information and maps provided to better know the area. Walking paths were right outside the subdivision. Grocery stores were close. We selected this home because it was located near where our son's family live, and since they have 3 of our young grandchildren we visit them several times a year, traveling from Wisconsin. So very much nicer than the nearest hotel for our long stays! We hope to stay here, in this home on future visits! As an FYI, we are also VRBO owners, and really appreciated this homeowners attention to detail throughout this property and in the communication leading up to, during and after our stay."

"I lived in Boise for eight years and always wanted an excuse to stay here. Since I've moved away, I now have that excuse. I booked the Story Suite for a weekend in December and was a little disappointed when the host asked the week before my visit whether I'd stay in the Animal Trophy Suite instead since another party wanted to book the Story Suite for a longer stay. However, I enjoyed the Animal Trophy Suite's whimsy and comfortable quarters -- a great retreat for one or two people. The bed was comfy, the kitchenette well furnished, and the location (close to downtown Boise and the North End) is hard to beat. I'm tidy and appreciate that this is one property that does NOT charge an extra cleaning fee, at least for a short stay. I also would have preferred better light-blocking shades ... even in winter, this was not an especially dark room for sleeping. But all quibbles aside, I enjoyed the Boise Guest House and I will be back."

"The cabin was wonderful a second time around. Although we were not able to to enjoy the place as much as we wanted with all the activities going on in Idaho City, it was very nice to be able to rest and unwind there. Thanks Rod for keeping your place in great shape. It seemed even better this time around from the last."
