"We rented this cabin for Thanksgiving with our two sons home from college. The lights were on and waiting for us when we arrived, and it's a quaint, cozy property. We enjoyed having our dogs with us, and appreciated the excellent wi-fi service. Overall, the cabin is well-suited for a family with younger children, as our adult sons refused to sleep in the cramped loft, and the many movies are generally for a young audience. There is no place to put groceries other than the fridge, but the kitchen is otherwise well-stocked. It made cooking a large holiday meal a challenge, but not impossible. The living room and bedrooms are in need of some updating. A queen-sized bed in the master would be a great idea, although the foam mattress topper was comfortable. The wood pile was well-stocked, but there were no instructions as to how to keep the wood-burning stove stoked and the fan running. (please add to the cottage notebook) The wall heater in the living room is not adequate for warmth unless the fire is going. Flannel sheets at this time of year would be helpful as well. We never did figure out how to turn on the light fixture in the dining area. Overall, enjoyed the location and property."

"This was a perfect place for the extended family. Age range was from 1 year to 82 and we each had a very relaxing stay. The home was well stocked and the beds very comfortable. The teenagers took over and loved the basement. Thank you for a perfect stay."

"My 2 kids (ages 5 and 9) and I stayed at the condo for the Bluegrass Festival. The condo is *incredibly* clean, thoughtfully stocked, very "homey" and comfortable for kids (meaning there's nothing too fancy to worry about breaking other than the glass-top coffee table). We've owned a vacation rental in another ski town for 10 years and I recognize a great place when I see one. Terri and Don's place is FANTASTIC! Note: the river doesn't run in August. And the kitchen is smallish (good for planning what types of meals to cook). Neither were a problem for us. We loved staying here."

"The home is spacious and perfect for a large family. The bedrooms are privately located on the ground floor offering a nice sanctuary from the common areas upstairs. There were numerous decks to retreat to. The stone fireplace(s) were beautiful. The location was perfect for our needs. We were close to the rest of our family who reside off of Warm Springs Rd, close to a Park for the dog, and within easy walking distance to downtown. The master bedroom beds and pillows were very comfortable. A note of caution though, watch your shins on the corners of the platform beds in two of the rooms. Three of us fell over them including our guest touring the house. Night tables w/ lamps would've also been helpful. Otherwise we all had a wonderful stay.
The food was fabulous wherever we went. We dined at the Bigwood Grill (outstanding seafood), Christiania (great atmosphere and pomme frites), Java (espresso and breakfast), Kneadery (good breakfast in a cabin atmosphere) and Despos (tasty mexican) and Raspberry for excellent lunch! Oh yeah, take the lift to the Roundhouse for Kobe burger lunch and amazing views!
Finally, the owner is very responsive and has a beautiful home. Highly recommend.
