  • Amazing Views - Location - Details

"It's hard to find a property that meets all my requirements - comfortable, clean, affordable, near/on the lake and accepts dogs - ta da! This was it! Rarely can I sleep anywhere but home, but both of the beds in this cabin were so comfy! And great linens and other details - all nice quality and it didn't feel like it was furnished with items from the thrift store or things people left behind! Three coolers made it comfortable until evening rolled around and it got a great cross breeze. The deck was large and had plenty of seating. The upstairs loft had amazing views and a comfy futon to sit and reflect while looking out. My husband made use of their private dock and caught many fish. The yard was nice with a hammock and glider, picnic table and big grill. My only complaint was that the yard wasn't fully fenced as I had thought from the photos, so I could just let the dogs ramble around but had to take them on the leash every potty trip. A bit of an inconvenience, but not bad - and once I blocked off the deck, they could hang with me outside and enjoy the views and watching all the birds and listening to all the boats going by - very busy lake. And we were greeted with a super clean place AND homemade cookies - yum! It's a narrow gravel road from the main road and from the dock - but easily walked or driven to get back and forth. It seems like you are way out of town, but there are services not five minutes away! Very nice and great hosts!"

  • Graduation Weekend

"We enjoyed this Bennett Bay home for Gonzaga's graduation weekend. The property is beautiful, and there are outstanding lake views throughout the home. The home is perfect for a larger family or group. Bennett Bay was an easy, short drive to town."

  • Nice place to enjoy the lake

"I am normally leery of renting a place with so few photos and reviews, but this was a very nice condo in a great location. We were close enough to Coeur D'Alene (25 minutes) to enjoy the downtown, parks and shopping, but loved being in a more remote location. Lake access was easy for swimming and there was a marina right there to rent boat slips if you wanted to bring a boat or jet ski. (Note-no food in the area) The property management company is pretty worthless so if you have questions or need info, contact the owner. He was very helpful and responsive. We were traveling with our 6 year old and he had a great time. There were a number of families and kids around, but not too many :) I can't recommend the pool as it was very heavily chlorinated, but that was the only downside and with the lake right there, we wouldn't have used it anyway. We would come back again."

  • Comfortable and Convenient Cottage; Excellent Value

"This home has virtually everything you need for a fun Cd'A vacation. It's spotlessly clean, well appointed, and convenient to Sherman Ave., the lake, and great hiking. My wife and I rented this house in early July. We wanted to use it as a base camp to take advantage of the great bike and hiking trails in the general area. If you like biking, this is the place to be. The Centennial Trail, which goes all the way to Spokane, is a block away from the house. Two other trails, the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes and the Route of the Hiawatha are not far by car. We also went to Moscow, Idaho (a fun, laid-back college town around 85 miles away), and took another rail trail into Pullman, Washington. The hiking is also great. Tubbs Hill is right behind the house--we walked to the top at dawn every morning. Other, more challenging trails, such as the Caribou Trail, are not far by car. The house is separated from the lake by a beautiful and well maintained city park. Nearby are the shops on Sherman Ave. (we went to the Parkside Bakery for it's fresh bread virtually every day); there is a farmers market on Wednesday afternoons. The owner provided a number of conveniences--hotel type soap and shampoo in the bathroom, a hair drier, laundry and dish detergent. There is also a BBQ grill in the back yard and a very comfortable patio and garden. Great for breakfasts and dinners outdoors. My wife and I have rented houses around the world and this was one of the best in terms of comfort, convenience and value. BTW, one fun thing that's off the beaten track--prospecting for garnets. It's a bit of a drive but well worth it for the scenic ride and pure fun. Wallace, Idaho, is also fun for a side trip."
