  • A charming, peaceful lake vacation - thanks to this little piece of cabin heaven

"If I could give a 6-star (or more!) rating, I absolutely would. Rustic elegance sums it up perfectly. The location is remote (22 miles off the 90 and located in Harrison, Idaho), so you truly feel like you are getting away- and in a very good way! This was one of my favorite family vacations ever, and I've gone on many. Well-maintained, beautiful home and grounds. Let's start with the panoramic views- from the deck, pebble beach, fireplace 'lounging' area, front lawn - it was breathtaking, especially the sunsets. This really is one of the best places on the lake, especially given Western exposure. By the way, the fireplace area was reminiscent of a high-end lodge hotel environment was a very pleasant surprise, as it wasn't even pictured in the listing! The inside of the cabin was amazing, the kitchen was the most well-stocked I've ever encountered in a rental and it has been recently remodeled. Nice tile, granite countertops, soft carpet. TV for those that need it with satellite. Plenty of space to lounge- liked the two bedrooms upstairs (A-frame style with rooms on either side both with a queen + twin), then two queen rooms downstairs. The owner, John, was amazingly helpful and answered all of my questions (I'll admit, I'm super Type A and do my research and he never lost patience on me at all, ha). We rented a boat for one day which is fun, as there is a slip - but, beware, boat rental is very expensive. There is an adorable canoe on property which we had fun with, great swimming beach. Harrison, ID is 6 miles away and a cute visit, you can rent bikes along the lake which I recommend. We didn't eat out much and instead toted most of our meals over. Mostly relaxed around cabin/outside and it was wonderful. It really is the best cabin ever- no joke! Thanks John, for your amazing hospitality."

  • Amazing Stay

"We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this lake house. The property was beautifully kept. The views were stunning. Everything was 5 star. My family and friends are still talking about it. We rented a boat for the week through a local Harrison Boat rentals. The delivered to the dock the day we arrived. Dennis provided kayaks and a canoe as well. My kids, relatives children, and their friends (ages 6-14) had the best summer vacation ever. They swam right off the dock, enjoyed tubing and water skiing in the boat, and smores on the beach at night. Dennis was absolutely a fabulous host. A great tour, so helpful before, during, and even after our trip! He shipped us items we had left without prompting! Just amazing hosts. I can't say enough of this place. The pictures don't do it justice. So comfortable. Roomy. Relaxing. Just amazing. I did plan ahead and brought a wireless hot spot for AT&T with me. It had no problem connecting to a cell tower and my kids enjoyed xbox gaming at night, everyone had ipad and PC web browsing, etc. Highly recommend you do that if you want internet beyond just your phone. Overall, we had the best time in many years with family. We are looking forward to doing it again next year and would love to be able to stay at this beautiful home again!"

  • Comfortable and Charming, Perfect for Families!

"We spent 4 nights here during the summer with an extended family group. The layout of the house made it perfect for us to spend time together, but to have privacy as well. Everything was clean and comfortable but not fussy, so we felt we were able to make ourselves at home. The neighborhood is simply charming, so green and shady and filled with summer color; Front porch sitting was the favorite activity of the grandparents in our group. And the house is a short walk straight down the road to the lake, only a few blocks from a beautiful park (with a playground even the teenagers thought was magical), and an easily manageable distance to the boardwalk and downtown shops. David was friendly and easy to work with and communicated with us promptly. There is so much to do in the area that we were out and about much of the time, but the house is so cozy I would have liked more time just to sit and read a book! The only mildly uncomfortable thing was that it was an unusually warm week and the house does not have air conditioning. Plenty of fans were provided, however, and by opening windows at night and closing them in the mid-morning we were able to cool it down. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!"

  • Wonderful Reunion Site!

"The house is roomy, comfortable and has a spectacular view of the lake. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying not only the lake view but also the lovely yard and garden. We picked flowers of every color and made a delicious pie from the rhubarb. Walking to the marina was a daily outing and we had a pontoon boat delivered to us at the marina for a half day adventure on the lake. Renting bikes in Harrison and riding part of the Coeur d'Alene trail was spectacularly beautiful and not hard cycling. The path is very well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked and the big dining table seated all of us as did table on the deck where we enjoyed evening meals. We picked a great place for our sister/niece reunion!"
