"Very nice place. I would have given 5 stars if not for the bunk bed room. I would advise against adults using these beds. Very uncomfortable!! I'm 162 pounds and when I sat on the bed you hit the wood under the mattress. Felt like I was sleeping on springs and wood. My wife had to sleep on the couch it was so bad. Other than that the place is perfect."

"I ratify the other reviews. We were three couples who stayed a week and spent most of our active time riding our bikes on the fantastic Trail of the Coeur d'Alene. We also rented a boat from Mike and Patty for the day to tour the lake, which was good fun.
Mike and Patty are excellent local hosts who both grew up in the Harrison area. The house is very nice with a large 4 stall garage for all your toys and a good driveway. One of the two downstairs bedrooms is a bit small, but the three beds were all good. Everyone slept well and played hard. Both the upper and lower decks are great with nice views. If you are there in the hot months, bring an extra umbrella to supplement the one that is there for late afternoon when the sun is hard to shield (tie to railing) or simply move to the lower deck.
It is a steep gravel road down to the lake, communal dock, and paved bike trail. Most will probably choose to drive down and park unless you are on a mountain bike.
Many mornings we rode the bike trail to Plummer, a wonderful 28 mile round trip route along the lake and up through a delightful forested valley. A perfect and gorgeous workout to start the day. Go the other way up the river and you have another 30 lovely miles (one way) until the trail starts to parallel I-90. Wildlife abounds in both directions. Take a day and ride the super Hiawatha Trail at the divide.
Harrison is just a few miles away and is fun and quaint. It gets busy on weekends, but can be sleepy during the week."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this VRBO. There were 10 of us total- 4 adults and 6 kids. Kids ages ranged from 2-14. There main house is a nice size with all the bedrooms upstairs and the kitchen and living room on the main floor. There are beautiful views of the lake. The float house is very nice and in great condition. We hung out there a lot in the afternoon and early evening, and had fun swimming, eating appetizers and sipping drinks. The staircase/trail down to the float house is a bit of a haul, but did not deter any of us from going back and forth at any time. It is well lit with solar lights at night, but good to also bring a head lamp for extra light. The kitchens were well stocked in both the main house and float house. There are many water accessories available- floatation devices, life jackets, and a canoe. There is a gas BBQ and a charcoal grill at the main house and a charcoal grill at the float house. Overall, we had everything that we needed. It was a great spot for families, and was very comfortable. The hot tub and air hockey table were a total bonus, and provided many hours of enjoyment. Teresa was very responsive through out the process of renting and contracts. She was quick to answer questions, and when we had a issue with the hot tub that we couldn't fix, she came out with someone and fixed it while we were boating. We are definitely coming back next summer."

"My girlfriends and I absolutely enjoyed our relaxing girls weekend at this condo. It was so relaxing for a winter weekend getaway. The view of the lake, sitting by the fire, cold winter walks with nearly the entire complex to ourselves was so lovely. It was the perfect distance outside of town to really feel you had escaped the pace of ordinary life. Being a Realtor, I have high standards for cleanliness and this condo was just that. It was well furnished with the essentials. One of my favorite aspects was the spacious master bath and soaker tub. It went well with a lovely glass of wine. I don't believe I have slept that well in years - perhaps it was the fresh air or the invitation to truly relax. We are already planning another opportunity when we can hopefully return. My only minor suggestion would be for a winter stay would be to bring a DVD player as there is not one present and given the more reclusive type retreat this was for us, would have loved to have topped off our girls weekend with a fun "chick flick" :). It was definitely difficult to leave! Thank you, Sheila!!"
