  • A beautifully spacious and relaxing lodge on Hayden Lake perfect for a vacation or retreat.

"I arrived at this clean, magnificent, and spacious home on Hayden Lake on March 1st, 2013; and, I was immediately impressed with the open and welcoming atmosphere of this well appointed home. The care-takers are wonderful people who live in the immediate area; and, they are most helpful in getting you settled into this great home. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and equipment to allow for some great meals. The views off the deck over-looking the lake are spectacular; and, it is a must to have a camera handy for capturing sunrises and sunsets on the lake. There are many shopping areas conveniently located within minutes of this home. The huge stone fire places in the main floor living area and the downstairs living area are very inviting for a warm and friendly gathering of friends or family. The home also offers a tram carrying individuals to a guest house on the dock for any boating, fishing, water-skiing, or sun-bathing activities during the warmer months. The home is equipped with cable-tv for staying informed and well-entertained in comfortable surroundings. This is an amazingly comfortable and relaxing spot for a peaceful and most enjoyable vacation. I highly recommend this home to be considered for your next vacation. The views are breath-taking and the home is immaculate and welcoming."

  • Birthday at the Lake!

"We rented this lovely cabin to celebrate our son's 13th birthday in August 2012. What a great place for a family vacation. The cabin was a perfect mix of classic lake cabin charm + up to date appliances (like a confection oven to bake a birthday cake!) We felt very much at home. Spent our days enjoying the lake, fishing, swimming, boating, and eagle watching. Can't wait to go back again. Thank you so much for the great memories! ~ The Crommes Family!"

  • Beautiful Home in Beautiful Location

"We had a great stay at this wonderful home with our teenage girls. Everyone enjoyed swimming in the clear water off the dock, the girls had fun in the canoe, and the dock was also great for mooring our small sailboat. Although we ate a few meals out, the kitchen at the cabin is wonderful and we mostly prepared our own meals and relaxed at the house. The owners were very accomodating and helpful, and there are lots of little conveniences which they have provided in the cabin. We also enjoyed the games and DVDs - it was nice to actually not have internet. And it was easy to get into Coeur d'Alene for a day, and we also spent a day at the waterpark and rides at Silverwood. We had a great family vacation."

  • Relaxing, fun, and thoroughly enjoyable

"My girlfriends and I gathered here from different parts of the county to reconnect and spend some time together after too many years of being apart. Rick and Jan were friendly and attentive in their email and phone conversations, and with this being my first VRBO experience, were patient and knowledgeable as they helped me through the process. When the first lady arrived ahead of the rest of us, she texted: "This place is so awesome! Hurry up!" She did not over-state in the least. The home was neat and unassuming from the road entrance, but then it went to amazing as soon as we walked in the door. We loved the big & open living room, dining room, kitchen, and deck where we spent most of our time when we weren't on/in the lake or sunning/fishing on the grass and dock. We didn't even use the big living area downstairs! It was cloudy and drizzly during the mornings and afternoons except for one day, so we spent that day outside and in the water as long as possible. The water temp was okay even that early in the summer. We really enjoyed the kayak and peddle boat too! There are lawn chairs and tubes for using outside, and the afternoon on the lawn enjoying the sun and the lake and the easy conversation was just a little bit of what it's all about. And even on the chilly and slightly drizzly mornings, taking the kayak out on the calm, quiet water is a peaceful way to start the day and appreciate the beauty in life, which this property has in abundance. We also saw deer, heron, osprey, eagles, loons... Everything that we needed was in the kitchen and we prepared some wonderful meals together. The gas fireplace was a bit of a challenge, but the caretaker and owners did everything they could to get it working as soon as possible. (A very minor ripple in paradise.) Everyone said they slept well except the gal who was in the far basement bedroom who said the bed wasn't comfy so she used the trundle mattress on the floor in there instead. The other two beds and even the bed in the laundry room were very comfortable though. The only thing missing was a designated fire pit, but I wouldn't be surprised if one hasn't been put in by now. I was told that an outdoor shower was built right after we left and we all think that will be quite a bonus for the next time we visit. All in all this is a beautiful and welcoming home in an amazing setting. We enjoyed our stay even more than we anticipated, and it's unanimous that we want to return in 2016!"
