"This lake house is the most amazing place in Idaho! Half way between us (both sets of parents/grandparents and our grown kids and their two boys) we each drove 300 miles to come here. This house is so comfortable and livable. One grandpa was on crutches with a broken ankle and other then the few steps to get down to the front porch he was able to maneuver the place very well. The master bath has a walk in shower besides the jetted tub, so he was set. All the living is on one level (two other kings beds in the downstairs) so he was able to play pool, get to the table, deck and everything but the boat dock, but just sitting on the deck under the evergreen trees watching bald eagles, mallards and other birds catching fish was awesome. We even saw deer. Those that could get to the dock saw little fish in the water ducking in and out of the water plants. I was up early one morning and took my coffee out to the deck and got to see a bald eagle chase another bird that had just caught a fish, the fish fell about 40 feet with such force that it sounded like a gunshot echoing around the lake. One night we had the most awesome thunder crashing. The acoustics are outrageous there. All in all our visit was the most relaxing time. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in in my entire life. Everything is furnished so luxuriously. We felt like kings and queens. Thank you guys for sharing your lovely lake house. We will defiantly stay there again."

Greatest place! Look no further -- this is your place!!
"I cannot say enough about this cabin and it's owners. The entire experience was nothing short of fantastic. From my first conversation with Gary, to our stay, to our communication afterwards, the whole experience was a tremendous pleasure.
The cabin was clean and warm at the time we checked in. The cabin is well-equipped and everything works! My wife and I took our adult children and their spouses on a "Family Retreat". This is the perfect place for family. We went snowmobiling and I took a long walk in my snow shoes. Spent a good bit of time doing absolutely nothing.
We particularly enjoyed the neighbors. Great families joined us. We were visited by a family of blue jays each morning, a family of deer and a family of squirrels each afternoon, and a family of five raccoons each night.
I cannot thank Gary, the owner, enough for the pleasant experience.
If you are looking for a place to get away in a storybook setting, this is the place!"

"Great place with lots of space for our big group! The house is well designed to allow for people to have some privacy or down time if they needed away from everyone else. The sun room was fabulous....coffee there every morning! We had from 4 year olds on up and there was plenty for all! It was a fairly rainy week that we were there so the covered hot tub was a big hit. The kids spent a lot of time jumping off the dock. The barbecue area was a big hit when we invited family that lives in Sandpoint for dinner. The guys loved the basketball hoop and there were a number of volleyball games! The kitchen is absolutely the best setup of any rental ever! We were doing a low country boil for 15 people and needed a HUGE pot...thought we may have to buy one BUT there was one there (along with a fabulous pot filler faucet over the stove!
Only drawback was the hill...had to plan your trip to the dock well cause you don't want to have to make that hike too many times! We did have an evening where the kids motivated everyone to roll down the hill! Fun! Thanks for the great place and we will definitely be back if we need a place to rent again!"

"We booked the Red Fox Lodge based on the pictures we saw on VRBO. We were looking for a place to spend a few days in McCall with our two sons and one of their girlfriends who lived there. When we walked in, we couldn't believe our eyes! The pictures are wonderful, but don't begin to show the charm, utilization of space (which is incredible!) and attention to detail. Three of us stayed there for three nights and each had his/her own bed and there are two full bathrooms. High end appliances in the kitchen and plenty of dishes, cookware and utensils made our stay so comfortable. All we had to do was get a few groceries. We would definitely stay here again and if our son who is employed with the US Forestry Service returns to McCall for his job, we are booking Red Fox Lodge immediately! We walked everywhere we needed to go in town from the house and also took in the Gold Fork Hot Springs while we were visiting. We couldn't have been happier with our selection!"
