Then there is the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, where the stunning colors combine with the waterfalls and rocks for a very beautiful area. A recent addition to Yellowstone’s many attractions is a new IMAX theater. This massive six-story high screen gives viewers the opportunity to see the immense park in all its glory from the comfort of an air conditioned environment.

While visiting here, there is a spectacular day trip to Quake Lake in southwest Montana. This lake was created when an earthquake struck the region in 1959. The quake devastated the area, collapsing highways and burying houses and trees beneath the now clear waters. Visitors here can fish for a variety of trout, go kayaking or whitewater rafting.
