"The pictures don't give this place justice we loved it!! The kitchen was well stocked and had a great open floor plan so everyone was involved!! Perfect for families we had our 9mo crawling everywhere and did not have to worry! Beautiful views peaceful and serene"Guest: Jeni t Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: February 28, 2014View listing
"We had a wonderful experience at No Business. Breathtaking views, well kept property, nice private beach (although, admittedly there could be better access to the actual river). Belinda, the property manager was very accommodating and did her best to make sure our wedding was as perfect as it could be. I'd definitely recommend this lodge for anyone interested in experiencing Valley County in style! However, IMO it's more of a huge house than a lodge. :)"Guest: Matty Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 2, 2014View listing
"We're so glad we stayed here for a recent weekend family getaway. The house is very clean and comfortable, the dogs loved the fenced yard, and we enjoyed some R&R and hiking in the area. We'll stay here the next time we're in McCall."Guest: BK Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 7, 2014View listing
"We shared the place with a few friends, had a fantastic time. The location right on the lake made for a beautiful sunrise, snow glistening on the lake surface, and with convenient getaway to Brundage. Thanks for opening your place to us!"Guest: Nathan A. McCall Travel Tips
Lake Views at McCall Vacation Rentals
You do not need to visit a beach when you are looking for a vacation near water. The lake views at McCall vacation rentals are outstanding and the area is much less crowded than beachside locales. This is the perfect getaway vacation for relaxing and enjoying everything this lake and mountain area has to offer. McCall, Idaho not only provides you with watersports in the summer, it gives you a great place to ski when the weather turns brisk. It is a four-seasons vacation spot with plenty of activities for every member of the family all year long. If you are looking for a corporate retreat, you could not ask for better accommodations than you will find in one of the VRBO homes that are on or near Payette Lake. These great rentals feature fully equipped kitchens, large living areas so there is room to spread out, and comfortable sleeping arrangements.
Fun Things to do by McCall Lake Houses
If you want to be in the middle of the action, choose the perfect McCall lake house to put you and your group there. Payette Lake or Davis Beach offer opportunities to swim, waterski, jet ski or just soak up the sun. McCall lake houses are not just for summer activities though. Many of these inviting homes are just a short drive from the best skiing that Idaho has to offer. Brundage Mountain and Tamarack are both less than an hour from many of the luxurious or cozy vacation rentals. If you do not ski or snowboard, your family and friends can indulge in snowshoeing or snowmobiling. After a day of skiing, there are several hot springs to soak in at neighboring towns. If you are interested in ice skating, McCall is home to the Manchester Ice and Event Center, where guests of McCall vacation rentals can ice skate year round or enjoy the little known sport of curling. Horseback riding, golfing, boating, fishing and whitewater rafting complete the ideal vacation package.
Firefighting in the wilderness happens as the timber dries out and the warm winds blow. The firefighters learn their craft at the Forest Service’s Smokejumper Headquarters. Guests of McCall can take a tour of the facility to see the smokejumper equipment, how the fire retardant is mixed, and their communication services. There are two tours per day so you can leave the comfort of your rental home to enjoy learning about this important job.
Getting to McCall Lodging
You will need a car if you are going to stay at McCall lodging; part of the fun of this vacation destination is getting there. Most guests of McCall fly into Boise and drive the scenic SR 55, also known as the Payette River Scenic Byway. The highway from Boise will head north and eventually merge with US 95. After a leisurely trip, you can unpack your clothes and your worries at your delightful vacation rental. Should you prefer to fly into McCall directly, there is a municipal airport.
