"Not ostentacious. Simply, but tastefully appointed, and appropriate to its mountain and forest surroundings. Very comfortable. It would be easy to enjoy just hanging out at this cabin all day, for those who plan a few days in that area and don't need to be on the go all the time. Pleasant owner."

"we rented the cabin for the entire months of january and february of 2014. the cabin was IMMACULATE! in a perfect private setting. Liese and John Dean are real nice folks it was a pleasure renting from them. the purpose of our trip was for snowmobiling and all i can say about that is it was AWESOME!!! and with smiley creek lodge just a stones throw away it was easy to get gas for our machines and head out into the backcountry...and then come back and have a great meal at the lodge. we will definitely be back...our dogs were also welcomed and had a great time as well."

"What a wonderful place to stay for 7 days. With mountains on each side of the cabin, the sunrises and sunsets were amazing. Each evening after an adventurous day we would lay in the wonderful hammock by the river and have a drink and star gaze. The cabin has a very well equipped kitchen that was perfect to cook our fresh trout from the river. It was hard to start each day because the bed was so cozy and with a beautiful view towards the river. Kelly and Bruce were perfect host and responded to any needs that we asked of them. They recommended McCoys Tackle Shop for all our fishing needs and we booked a Fly Fishing float trip through them. The BEST DAY EVER on our fishing float trip with our wonderful guide Verlon. Our other adventures took us to Bay Horse Ghost Town, Shoshone Falls, Sun Valley, Frank Church/River of No Return Wilderness Area (Where we were lucky enough to see a pair of Wolves) and Redfish Lake. Even though each place was a good many miles, we fished each trip there and back along the rivers and streams. It was so hard to leave this peaceful, cozy place and go back to reality. KEEP CLOSE TO NATURES HEART. BREAK CLEAR AWAY ONCE IN AWHILE, AND CLIMB A MOUNTAIN OR SPEND A WEEK IN THE WOODS. WASH YOUR SPIRIT CLEAN... John Muir"

"The cabin was well maintained and very clean upon arrival, which was pleasant to see considering the owner is generous enough to not charge a cleaning fee. The cabin is spacious, we had plenty of room with four adults and two toddlers. With two full bedrooms and baths, it is priced very reasonably for the area. The kitchen is remarkably well equipped; several times during meal prep we needed an uncommon utensil or item and after a brief search, boom, there it was. Location is great, just a few minutes to Stanley and quiet despite being near the highway. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."
