  • Absolutely Perfect!!!

"The pictures on the site do not do it justice. This condo is absolutely perfect; all of the comforts of home plus some. The property is beautifully decorated, very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to prepare a meal - cookware, seasonings, herbs. Invite friends over because there are enough dinnerware and utensils for a small dinner party; then relax in the hot tub just outside the door on the patio. No scrimping here - electronic blinds, and other lighting elements, cable tv, wifi, a printer, USB speakers - this place was amazing!!! The owner is very responsive and great to work with."

  • Best ever

"It was a pleasant surprise to find everything in working order and so well furnished from A to Z. Unfortunately, so often one arrives to a rented vacation home to find it barely resembles the photos and it is in anything but working order. Should we have the opportunity again, I definitely look forward to renting your home for our stays in SV. Thank you!"

  • Will plan to stay here again!

"A group of six friends and I stayed here for the Sawtooth Relay. The condo is in excellent condition, and the pictures are accurate to the property. The beds are incredibly comfortable, particularly after 10 hours of running! Within walking distance of downtown Ketchum. We will definitely stay here again for our Sawtooth weekend if it is available."

  • Spring Break 2014 with Two 15 year old snowboarders and a skiing mom and dad!

"This condo arrangement is well worth the rental fee for its location as well as its cleanliness and note worthy incendentials. Being a seasoned "renter" and having experienced many different places over my vacation career, this unit is definitely worth putting word out! We were able to walk to Sun Valley Resort with minimal effort; might have taken 3-4 minutes with our skis and boards over shoulder and no obstacles or heart rate palpatations! EASY! The interior of the condo is clean and crisp with plenty of fresh towels and comfy bedding and throw blankets. With two 15 year old boys along, we needed space and that was plenty! They had their own room with large bunk beds and a private shower and bathroom. Because we were just four, the boys utilized the auxillary laundry room with additional bunks to disperse their belongings. This additional sleeping area would work well for smaller children or the "tag along" teenager or adult. Wood is supplied for the fireplace and propane was plenty for the balcony bar-b-que. The added incidentials made this rental so easy to settle into. Not often do you find a supply of paper towels, cups, toilet paper, hand, dish and laundry soap and cleaning supplies. The added extras of saran wrap, zip lock bags, dry rubs for our steaks and chicken and coffee creamers and tea bags really made things easy. When we arrived there was a complimentary bottle of wine and coffee; two of my necessary evils! We asked fellow ski lift riders about the restraunts in Ketchum and were directed well. Check out The Cellar Pub, Whiskey Jacques and The Pioneer Saloon, (aka The Pio). Both markets are well supplied although I would suggest Atkinson's over Main Street Market as the selections were better and of higher quality. The owner of this property was quick to reply to our email questions regarding directions and provided the details necessary to be sure we would be situated. We are looking forward to a return visit in the near future."

Sun Valley Area Travel Tips

Sun Valley, Idaho for Fun in the Sun and Snow

Sun Valley, in Blaine County, Idaho, is known as the "Grand Dame" of ski resorts. The name Sun Valley is used to describe the resort itself and the region generally--the valley area south of Hailey and the city of Ketchum. To get to Sun Valley travel could not be easier. Just 2.5 hours drive through scenic vistas from the major airport at Boise, the area is also served by Friedman Memorial Airport which is less than 15 miles away. By road, the Sun Valley is easily accessible from Interstate 85 and State Highway 75 running through the region. Famous for its great ski conditions, the weather goes from the 20s Fahrenheit in winter to the high 60s Fahrenheit in summer.

Find the Perfect Snow in Sun Valley, Idaho

With over 250 days of sun per year, you may believe that it is not an ideal ski location but you would be wrong. The days may be glorious and sunny but the nights bring the snow and each morning, the snow conditions are fabulous. More advanced skiers head to Bald Mountain, affectionately known as "Baldy," for its challenging conditions. It has a variety of constant-pitch terrain of assorted difficulty levels, a 3,400-foot (1,036 m) vertical drop and little wind. Among serious skiers, Baldy is reputed to be the best mountain in the world. Beginners and intermediate skiers will find the treeless Dollar Mountain perfect for developing their skills and learning. With Sun Valley vacation rentals available close to both mountains, visitors will find the perfect property for their individual needs.

For winter visitors who enjoy fishing, there is an opportunity to try the challenges of ice fishing at several rivers and lakes.

Don’t Miss the Spectacular Sun in Sun Valley’s Summer

When the snow melts and the temperatures climb, Sun Valley is rapidly gaining popularity as an ideal outdoor location for family fun. The Sawtooth National Forest has a variety of recreational activities to suit everyone. Much of the forest is primitive and undeveloped wilderness, great for exploring and getting back to nature. It is also an archeological area with almost 1,500 heritage sites to discover. It offers a great opportunity to learn about the area and its archeology, and understand the importance of the natural environment. The area has a wealth of hiking and backpacking trails, horseback riding, mountain biking, trail biking, and both lake and river fishing.

There is no better way to get a feel for how the original settlers and inhabitants explored the area than on horseback. The area has some spectacular riding trails, one of the best of which is Cold Canyon. It is a scenic ride, best seen in late summer and early fall when the fall colors are in their prime. Many of these trails are closed to motorized vehicles, making for safe, scenic, peaceful rides.

The fishing season starts in May, usually on Memorial Day, and licenses can be obtained at local stores. The main fishing areas include Big Wood River, the North and Mile Fork of the Boise River, and part of the Payette River. Species in abundance in the rivers include several varieties of trout, such as rainbow, golden, brook and cutthroat. The best early season fishing is at the Salmon River Drainage.
