  • Amazing summer rental- walkable to pool, spacious and updated

"We visit SV a few times per year and have stayed everywhere from Hailey, to Ketchum to Elkhorn. We love Elkhorn because it is close to downtown but you don't pay downtown rates. We usually come during ski season, but summers are gorgeous in SV so we decided to take our 2 yr old and another couple for the 4th of July week to SV this year. This condo was very roomy- the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the unit, which felt like we all had our own space. It doesn't hurt that they are both master suites so they both had large bathrooms and closets. We stayed in the "true master" (king size bed) and the room was so large, we fit the king bed, a double bed (air mattress) and a pack and play easily in the room. The air matttress was already there, so if you don't mind sleeping on one and sharing a bedroom, you could easily sleep more people. Things that we loved: -Covered parking: this is clutch in both summer and winter. Easily located next to the elevator for hauling all your stuff to and from the car. -Wifi- We got horrible cell phone reception in the condo (t-mobile) but they have wifi so we didn't have any issues. Also, we got reception as soon as we were out of the building. -Walkable to pool: there are 2 pools in Elkhorn, and this condo was right across the street from the "adult" pool which had kid hours, so we spent most of our time there. There is also a "kid" pool with a lifeguard that you can drive too, but it's not too far and worth the drive if you are planning on going for longer days (diving board, spray park, volley ball court, toddler splash pool etc). -Outdoor deck & BBQ: we ate all our meals out on the deck and enjoyed the sunshine every day (but it's not very useful in the winter months ;) -Washer/dryer in the unit: if you have small children you know this is clutch. -Owners: it was really easy working with the owners- who happen to live close enough to us in Seattle that I was able to meet up with them before we headed to SV. Very nice, went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay (even left us a bottle of wine). Good to have but didn't use: -Right on the bus line that runs to town/ski lifts every 30 mins -Glof course & Tennis court access in the Elkhorn community Downsides- -No TV in the guest bedroom: totally no big deal as TV is not really the point of vacation. We just happened to be trying to watch world cup coverage from bed :) We would totally stay here again and are already looking to book our trip this winter."

  • better than expected!!!!!!!

"Everyone traveled from Orange County for a huge destination wedding in Hailey for my nephew. Flying or driving the cost was high and needed to find a home for 14+ family members to help the budget. First of all, Connie the owner is amazing, doing everything possible to make our accommodations comfortable and to leave very satisfied. Connie home is beautiful and looks like a model home. When walking in the front door , the view is breathtaking and home is very clean. She made sure you did not run out of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent etc. There are 2 washers, dryer and an extra frig in the garage! We felt like we were home, so thoughtful! The kitchen had plenty of dishes and silverware, we only needed a few larger bowls for large meals and some containers for leftovers. Everyone had passes to the club for a swim, Jacuzzi etc. Your 1. 5 miles into town, so riding a bike is easy and you may see a few deer on the way. We highly recommend this vacation home. Thank you Connie, you went way over and above to make sure our families were enjoying our stay. Rochelle"

  • Amazing wedding weekend with family and friends

"We just spent a week with family and friends at this amazing estate to celebrate our wedding weekend - and it was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably: parents and siblings had privacy in the guest house (ask about availability), friends had a central place to hang out in this main house, we had the entire upstairs master, and we even had some people staying in RVs. The property is large enough to host an event - we had a 4th of July BBQ for about 50 people on one of the lawns, as well as give everyone parking and breathing space. The garage was huge and we used it to stage the many bins and boxes for our wedding (at Galena Lodge), with enough to room to still park a truck inside. There are so many washers and driers that everyone went home with clean clothes - and sheets for the RVs. The kitchen and dining area was perfect for huge breakfasts and dinners, as well as late night entertaining - there were plenty of dishes and glassware/utensils for everyone (plus 2 dishwashers for easy cleanup). The hot tubs and creekside environment helped relax everyone between events and there were plenty of outdoor spaces for games and for our dog to play. The master bedroom/bathroom/patio area was perfect for the bridal party to get ready for the wedding, with enough room for a hair stylist and makeup artist to do their work. Ed the owner was amazing to work with - very prompt and detailed in his responses. Everyone who stayed with us said they would love to rent this property again in the future!"
