The main fishing areas include Big Wood River, the North and Mile Fork of the Boise River, and part of the Payette River. Species in abundance in the rivers include several varieties of trout, such as rainbow, golden, brook and cutthroat. The best early season fishing is at the Salmon River Drainage.
