  • Very Pleased

"The pictures, as beautiful as they look, don't even describe how nice this place is. Very clean, well maintained and well stocked. The back deck, overlooking the river, was our favorite part. We ate almost every meal out on the deck. Palisades Reservoir, nearby, is a beautiful boating and fishing lake. Great for water skiing and not at all crowded. Trail head for running/hiking trails up Palisades canyon to the two Palisades natural lakes are very close. We saw moose, eagles, pelicans and more. We had planned to spend an afternoon and dinner in Jackson, but we decided we'd rather stay here and fix our own meal and enjoy yet another evening on the deck and around the fire pit. No regrets. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice getaway in beautiful surroundings."

  • Tranquil Beauty

"This was our family's first stay in Idaho and we certainly hope it is not our last. The house was large, well equipped, and had everything we could have asked for in a vacation home. The owners are accommodating and friendly and Lori, our trail guide at the ranch, was equally as welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly with adults and children alike. But perhaps the best part is the serene setting of the house itself. The beauty of the surrounding land is breathtaking and inspiring. The solitude and peaceful setting makes one long for simpler times and less congestive places. I would be remiss if I did not mention the deck off the house and the nights here, for in the gathering darkness there appears on a clear night a nighttime sky that rivals any I have ever seen. Words do not do it justice; it is simply something that must be seen to fully appreciate. My lone regret....is that I did not have more time to stay!"

  • This place is even better than it looks!

"Our extended family spent a week here recently. We loved the house, which was clean, exceptionally well-maintained and well-appointed, and large enough that we could all retreat to our own rooms when we needed a little break. We spent hours on the deck overlooking the gorgeous Snake River, watching eagles fly, and we loved the outdoor kitchen, especially the chance to roast marshmallows in the fireplace after dinner. The older cousins taught the younger cousins how to fish and we played bacci ball, bows and arrows and wrestled on the wide green lawn. A hot tub would be a great addition to this property. I personally missed having a swimming pool, but we piled into cars and drove 10 minutes to the Palisades Reservoir for swimming. Some of us preferred that, as otherwise we might've been hard-put to find reasons to leave. The owners were very responsive and generous in providing information--a breeze to work with. That adds to the whole appeal of this rental. If you're looking for a lovely and yet comfie home base in the region, look hard at this Swan Valley home. It was paradise!"

  • Perfect annual family escape.

"For the past two summers this lodge has been the perfect escape for our family. My husband and I have been fishing the South Fork for over 20 years and as our family grew we began looking for a place that would accommodate all our needs, and this is it. It has a beautiful combination of luxury and comfort yet rustic enough to not let you forget where you are. The location is ideal for enjoying all the wildlife, sweeping sunsets, and the storms that roll in and out. There is plenty of space for my kids to run and play and they've even hooked a few fish from the bank. When we do finally pull ourselves away from the lodge there is plenty to do near by. Besides drifting down the Snake River, we've enjoyed horseback ridding, ziplining and day excursions into Jackson Hole and Driggs. We greatly appreciate Marc opening up his lodge to our family and being so attentive and accessible whenever needed."
