  • Everything you need

"We had such a great time. There was so much space in the house and it had everything we needed. The hot tub was so nice during the cool nights. We'll keep this in mind for our next visit"

  • Awesome place to stay

"Our daughter and her family(5), son and his family(6) and my wife and I enjoyed Ski Hill Ranch very much. We rented the lockout as well so each family had their own area as well as the spacious main floor which had seating for 10 adults. The house has a great view of the Tetons and sits in a very quiet area. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, pot and pans for any cooking that we wanted to do. The only recommendation I would make to improve the house would be to add some railings. The house is close to the Targhee resort where we did horseback riding. The grandkids enjoyed this. Broulim's market in Driggs is a very well stock supermarket with anything and everything you need(closed Sundays). Going over Teton pass is about 45 minutes to get to Grand Teton entrance and going north through West Yellowstone is about a two hour drive. We did both and enjoyed the drives. They had a property manager also who answered any questions we had and would have been able to take care of an problems if they arose. This was a plus as he took care of garbage. There were bicycles in the garage to ride along with fishing poles to use at ponds and rivers in area."

  • Good location!

"The condo was nice and clean. Some of the kitchen ware was outdated with a few of the pans rusty. Which was too bad because I planned on cooking meals while we were there. The location was agreat. It's close to downtown and bike trails. My only complaint would be in regards to the neighbors upstairs. It is a downstairs unit so you can hear everything. Every little step! They were up in the middle of the night walking around both nights of our stay, making it hard to sleep through the night. Overall though, you can't beat the price for being right in the heart of downtown."

  • Amazing family vacation

"We just got back from what we consider our best family vacation thus far! The owners were amazing to work with, very personable and all around friendly, actually come to think of it that was our experience everywhere we went in town! The town is great, it's small but has fabulous restaurants and great shopping. The town seems to have a collective emphasis on local, sustainability, and green/carbon foot print. Bikes almost outnumber cars, ingredients at restaurants are as local as possible, and there are innumerable awesome biking/running trails. That being said this specific condo has everything you'd need to enjoy it (including 3 adult bikes--no helmets). Our kids (ages 2 and 4) especially loved the grounds to roam around on, the pool, the dock by the lake, and the trees to climb. Inside their favorite was the loft. The kitchen is well enough equipped for cooking **except** spices. If you like to cook, please pack spices/pantry essentials you don't want to have to (re)purchase. I had to dock one star based on the condition of the outdoor space (actually I think it's only worth 1/2 a star, but this only lets me work in whole star increments). Its got a beautiful view, and it's got great bones….that being said the deck it's self needs to be refinished, or better yet refurbished with a bigger patio area. Some of the neighboring condo's have done so, and it looked great (more outdoor seating, a stone patio area in front of the deck, maybe even a fire pit). Oh and the pictures of the pool make it look like there may be a hot tub…if it is, it wasn't turned on, because it was the same temp as the pool (which it's self was a very nice temperature, but a hot tub would've been clutch). Overall we will stay again, and LOVED our time there, at the condo, in the city and of course a couple days at Silverwood. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, although families with somewhat older kids (7+) would probably enjoy the whole experience even more than us (stand up paddle boarding, boating, biking, hiking, Silverwood etc). That being said we're not gonna wait that long for a return visit!"

Tamarack Travel Tips

Cabins in the Mountains

Tamarack, Idaho is a beautiful resort community that is nestled at the base of the mountains. It is a beautiful spot for a vacation just about any time of year: during the winter, the snow capped mountains can be viewed from the windows of Tamarack condos, and during the summer months, the changing colors on the trees of the nearby national forest are a sight to behold. Tamarack ski lodging offers a comfortable and spacious place to stay while planning a ski vacation to Idaho, and provides its guests with many amenities such as hot tubs, luxurious décor, and space for as many as ten guests within one of the Tamarack condos.

Some of the Best Skiing in the World

Tamarack ski lodging certainly provides a great spot to stay when coming for a ski vacation, as the slopes nearby boast some of the best snow in the world. Additionally, some of the vacation homes are set deep in the snowy mountains, giving guests a chance to cross country ski in and out of the property. For those visiting during the warmer months, there are plenty of activities to entertain even the most daredevil family members, including zip line adventures, which take guests more than 4000 feet above the mountains to get a true bird's-eye view of the mountain ranges, as well as golf, spa packages, white water rafting, and mountain biking and hiking trails in order to have an unbelievable view of the nearby Payette and Boise National Forests.

A Relaxing Vacation Spot for All

No matter what season it may be, Idaho is a perfect spot for vacationing any time, and Idaho vacation rentals can set the backdrop for a wonderful getaway that all members of the family are sure to remember fondly for many years.
