  • Even better than we expected!

"This cabin was beautiful, comfortable and perfect for our mixed age group. The pictures on this site don't do it justice--it's a beautiful, spacious cabin! There was plenty of room for three different couples to have private spaces and the public space was welcome and easy to spend time in, playing games and watching fantastic classic VHS tapes. The 3-year-old in the group loved climbing up and down the stairs, and the dogs had a blast running around in the snow. The wifi wasn't great, but the owners were accommodating and easy to get in touch with, so I'm sure if we'd called, they would have helped fix it. We'd definitely stay here again!"

  • Really, really great!

"We had a really, really great stay at the luxury log home in Victor. The location is perfect for exploring and is in a pretty setting with all the must-have conveniences (like a nice grocery store and real coffee!) just a two minute drive from the house. The house itself is great for a group or just two people, there's plenty of room to spread out, has a fantastic kitchen and an awesome wood stove with plenty of wood provided. There's a hot-tub, porch and a pond outside -- cable tv inside, so anything you need, really for at-home entertainment. The house is decorated well with comfortable beds, nice rugs, pretty hardwood floors and of course, since it's a log house, it has that nice, rustic yet upscale feeling. The owner, Ben, lives next door and is super helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Enjoy!"

  • Very, Very Nice House

"The house was great! 2 of us stayed at the house for a week of fishing. However, the house could easily accomadate 2 couples and 2 singles with very comfortable beds. The house was equipped with everything you needed from cooking utensils, spices, oil, flour, sugar etc., to linen, towels, soap, shampoo, etc. I really liked using the freash herbs, from the greenhouse, for cooking. The extras like Satellite TV, hot tub, dart board, pool table and sound system were a nice bonus, additionally everything worked. The house location is in a nice residential setting and very private with lots of yard space. The owners are there if you need them. All in all, this is the best place we've stayed and I would go back again in a heartbeat when I return to the area."

  • Couldn't have been better!

"This place has it all!!! Lone Elk Lodge has the charm, the view, the space, and the best people to run it. Barb and Steve are they caretakers of the lodge and they are wonderful. They made our stay so comfortable and completely carefree! This house has top of the line...well, everything. Everything from the grand theatre room to the HUGE kitchen for gathering and entertaining was absolutely perfect for our party of 17. Barb and Steve were the perfect hosts as they were accommodating but not so much where they interfered with our privacy. There was an occasion where we ran out of propane for the grill and Steve was there quick, fast, and in a hurry with a replacement and a smile. I was getting married that weekend and my limited budget shot down my plans for a traditional venue reception. I asked Barb if the property was appropriate for a backyard reception and she made it work!!! It was absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was user friendly for the caterer, the yard was perfect for our tables and dancing, and the sunset behind the golf course setting allowed for the most amazing pictures. My boyfriend and I visited Jackson Hole (from PA) last October and got engaged in the Tetons. We knew we wanted to be married in the area and have a small wedding with immediate family and close friends. We set our date for June 21st and were blessed to have made our "wedding" a week long celebration. My family stayed in Lone Elk Lodge and my husbands guests also stayed in Victor, Idaho. Our dream wedding of being married in the Tetons would not have been possible if we hadn't stayed in the valley. You get the most for your money, the best people, awesome restaurants, and being out of the immediate tourist town allows for more quality family time. With that being said, anything and everything worth seeing/doing is only a short drive. You WILL NOT be disappointed if you stay at The Lone Elk Lodge! Happy Traveling :)"
