  • Great CDA, Posta Falls Stay!

"This was a great find! Super clean, nice linens, towels, back yard area, peaceful, close to the river, quiet, wonderful amenities, awesome area restaurants, close to CDA Resort. We loved hiking trails and Q'Emlin Park at the river. Biking, hiking and climbing were tops. We also liked the proximity to the Kroc center for more family activities. The house was awesome and we loved staying. We are returning soon! Thank you so much. Jas and Chad"

  • Amazing family vacation

"We just got back from what we consider our best family vacation thus far! The owners were amazing to work with, very personable and all around friendly, actually come to think of it that was our experience everywhere we went in town! The town is great, it's small but has fabulous restaurants and great shopping. The town seems to have a collective emphasis on local, sustainability, and green/carbon foot print. Bikes almost outnumber cars, ingredients at restaurants are as local as possible, and there are innumerable awesome biking/running trails. That being said this specific condo has everything you'd need to enjoy it (including 3 adult bikes--no helmets). Our kids (ages 2 and 4) especially loved the grounds to roam around on, the pool, the dock by the lake, and the trees to climb. Inside their favorite was the loft. The kitchen is well enough equipped for cooking **except** spices. If you like to cook, please pack spices/pantry essentials you don't want to have to (re)purchase. I had to dock one star based on the condition of the outdoor space (actually I think it's only worth 1/2 a star, but this only lets me work in whole star increments). Its got a beautiful view, and it's got great bones….that being said the deck it's self needs to be refinished, or better yet refurbished with a bigger patio area. Some of the neighboring condo's have done so, and it looked great (more outdoor seating, a stone patio area in front of the deck, maybe even a fire pit). Oh and the pictures of the pool make it look like there may be a hot tub…if it is, it wasn't turned on, because it was the same temp as the pool (which it's self was a very nice temperature, but a hot tub would've been clutch). Overall we will stay again, and LOVED our time there, at the condo, in the city and of course a couple days at Silverwood. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, although families with somewhat older kids (7+) would probably enjoy the whole experience even more than us (stand up paddle boarding, boating, biking, hiking, Silverwood etc). That being said we're not gonna wait that long for a return visit!"

  • TRULY THANKFUL

"This cabin is sooo cute. It was our good fortune to find it for our Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The kitchen may be small, but VERY well stocked. There was everything from coffee to batteries, (no cookie sheet or large roaster), and EVERYTHING worked. The futons are not comfortable for sitting but slept comfy enough for the old folks that were the night owls. Although a bit awkward entering the bathroom through the bedroom, it worked out fine and provided a good share of laughs. The shower is amazing but perhaps an exhaust fan would be helpful. Even though the cabin is the perfect size for two, our family of 4 + the family dog enjoyed the space. When it came time to enjoy a full-course Thanksgiving feast, the absence of a dining room table mattered very little to anyone. The most finicky housekeeper will be delighted, but the lack of dead bugs in the window tracks and webs in the corners would be sure to get it an A+. Having a washer & dryer and dishwasher as part of the MANY perks of this incredibly affordable getaway made us feel quite spoiled. The tasteful decor offers such a warm welcome but when coupled with the expansive wrap-around deck and amazing lake view...you have a "hands-down" winner! Our son and his girlfriend were able to fully enjoy this 5 night mini-va'ca as the location is perfect for Spokane commuters. Our entire family benefitted from this much-needed respite. "Hats-Off" to Jay for a job well done and his thoughtful attention to details. He has our most heart-felt thanks for graciously sharing this precious treasure by the lake."

  • Easy Living in Boise

"My wife and I spent five days at this wonderful vacation home in Boise, sharing it with seven other family members at night and a handful more around the pool during the daytime hours. Her family had a reunion in town. Our relatives had three houses to gather at during the week, and this became the default choice for everyone after a couple of hours in the gorgeous pool. It's a wonderful house for civilized get togethers--not a place for rowdy parties because of the residential neighborhood in which it is situated. We were an active but quiet group that immensely enjoyed the wonderful back yard, sparkling pool, and grill with table and chairs outside. The interior of the house is light and airy…actually even nicer than the photographs indicate. The master suite with bathroom is a dream, but the other rooms are also large and comfortable as well. Renters will find every conceivable convenience in and around the house…wonderful appliances, pool toys, wifi, electronics, numerous towels, luxurious sheets, even a plate of chocolates waiting for us upon arrival. Furthermore, it is a short drive into downtown Boise with its bustling downtown and interesting Basque neighborhood, 45 minutes by car to Bogus Basin for skiing in the winder or wonderful hiking through the pines in the summer, and a short walk to a large park. A well-stocked supermarket and drugstores are less than a mile away. Rather than feeling like tourists, we felt like some of the many proud and happy Boise residents who are lucky enough to live in this progressive and bike-friendly city. I truly feel that this house, more than anything else, made this reunion one of our very best ever."

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
