  • Wonderful!

"This is a GREAT place to stay when visiting the West Yellowstone area! The owners, Rich and Diane, have made this a very comfortable "home away from home"! We were very pleased to have found this cabin and would definitely stay there again!"

  • Honeysuckle Bay

"The home was a little outdated, but was very comfortable and clean. No issues with the inside. Plenty of blankets and comfortable sleeping. We did not use the appliances, but they appeared to be OK. The only complaint I have was the driveway was supposed to be cleared of snow and it was not. It appeared that it snowed two days before we arrived and the driveway was cleared but additional snow had fallen which was not. This made the driveway very slippery and unusable. The owner had informed me of the slope of the driveway but assured me the driveway would be cleared. The location was perfect for us since my son lived only 5 minutes away and the view of Hayden Lake was beautiful"

  • Beautiful Home!!!

"This home is absolutely beautiful! It is located in a quiet area, very close to a private beach. There was plenty of room for three families with children, it is very roomy. There is also an excellent restaurant and marina within walking distance. We found the manager of this home to be very helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely go back again!"

  • Amazing wedding weekend with family and friends

"We just spent a week with family and friends at this amazing estate to celebrate our wedding weekend - and it was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably: parents and siblings had privacy in the guest house, friends had a central place to hang out in the main house, we had the entire upstairs master, and we even had some people staying in RVs. The property is large enough to host an event - we had a 4th of July BBQ for about 50 people on one of the lawns, as well as give everyone parking and breathing space. The garage was huge and we used it to stage the many bins and boxes for our wedding (at Galena Lodge), with enough to room to still park a truck inside. There are so many washers and driers that everyone went home with clean clothes - and sheets for the RVs. The kitchen and dining area was perfect for huge breakfasts and dinners, as well as late night entertaining - there were plenty of dishes and glassware/utensils for everyone (plus 2 dishwashers for easy cleanup). The hot tubs and creekside environment helped relax everyone between events and there were plenty of outdoor spaces for games and for our dog to play. The master bedroom/bathroom/patio area was perfect for the bridal party to get ready for the wedding, with enough room for a hair stylist and makeup artist to do their work. Ed the owner was amazing to work with - very prompt and detailed in his responses. Everyone who stayed with us said they would love to rent this property again in the future!"

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
