  • Waterfront view! Perfect!

"We couldn't have been happier with this cabin on the lake. The owner, Lori, was easy to work with and communicated well with each step along the way. Upon arrival, we found a very clean space with 2 bedrooms on the main floor and a beautiful view of the lake from the large living room windows. The cabin had everything we needed in the kitchen, large grill on the deck, table/chairs on the deck for cards and meals, and a lakeside fire pit that we used each night. We loved having access to a canoe and kayak as well as clear/clean lake water from the dock. We hope to stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone."

  • Great location!

"A few times a year, my husband and I meet up with good friends in Coeur d'Alene. We are from the seattle area; they are from bozeman, mt, and cda is almost exactly half way for each of us. Normally, we stay at the Arrowpoint condos, but this time around, they were asking a hefty deposit; yikes! Arrowpoint is also quite a distance from CDA, and making it into town, especially with a toddler, is usually a complicated scenario. Fortunately, we found this beautiful, immaculate home near downtown. The location is wonderful. We walked to downtown and the lakefront nearly every day. The house itself is extremely well cared for, and was a great option for our fifteen month old daughter. They even had a chest of toys! There are two bedrooms, a pull-out couch and one bathroom. No tub, but we showered our daughter successfully. Dennis, the owner, is extremely helpful, accommodating and accessible. He tipped us off about the local farmers market, which was fun. He is also located on-site, which is very convenient. The house is directly across the street from a beautiful cemetery. In the welcome binder, there is a pamphlet of the cemetery tour, which we did. It was very interesting, especially when we identified relatives of our friends buried there. This is a beautiful house. You will not regret staying here."

  • Wonderful Family Vacation

"Our family had a wonderful time at this Hayden Lake House. Thank You so much for sharing it with us! Kids loved the water, canoeing, and visiting the Sandbar. The grown ups loved the amazing deck and views and being centrally located to Coeur d'alene, Silverwood and Sandpoint for daytrips. We look forward to returning next Summer, we finally found a family vacation we all can agree on! PS: Jeanne is a fabulous hostess!"

  • Nice secluded cabin

"The cabin is in a beautiful location, offering peaceful seclusion. We spent a very special 2 weeks in this very comfortable place. There were lots of trails just behind the cabin that we tried and afterwards enjoyed a welcoming soak in the enormous hot tub. It was also lovely to sit around the fire pit and look at the stars, the night sky was especially clear due to the absence of light pollution. We were very fortunate to have a good view of the recent Red Luna eclipse. Rod the owner was especially welcoming & was just at the end of the phone when we needed him. He was able to give us lots of information about the area & places we could visit, very kindly loaned us fishing poles, and treated us to tastes of wild salmon & elk, He is a real treasure. The cabin was clean, comfortable & cosy and central to Boise, Garden valley, Cascade & Idaho city. we would very very much like to return one day."

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
